Log House on water, family get-a-way in mountains w/ pond, fishing & Swimming

Simply beautiful, large multi level rustic log house with a warm castiron fireplace, huge deck for cool nights, your own large private pond for swimming with canoe & small dock for fishing off of, all on 14.5 acres of woods.
The whole cabin is yours to use. The open floor plan brings together the great room with the dining area and kitchen. The cast iron fireplace will keep you warm and cozy on cool nights.
The kids will love the bunk bed room, their own area on the main floor.
The master bedroom with a king bed over looks a field with a farm in the distance. The loft is open to the great room but has a private bedroom for a very quiet retreat.
The deck over seeing the open lawn and pond and the area has plenty of room for Football, Soccer, Frisbee or any other games you can think of. There is an outdoor shower facing the pond under the deck to rinse off after a swim in the pond.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights
Please empty the dishwasher before leaving the house. All garbage must be in bags and put in the bins down by the garage door, no garbage just thrown in without being in a kitchen bag, thank you.
After stripping the beds, please leave the sheets and towel towels by the washing machine and any used towel. Blankets please leave on the beds.
Outside fire pit can burn any wood, inside cast-iron stove should only be used with hardwoods, basically by the wood at the store if you’re gonna burn inside the house.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Fireplace: (NO TRASH) Burn only wood and news paper to start the fire

Stephen supplied everything you need. Porch included large table with canopy, plus grill and extended porch. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Pond with walk around trail and large yard for games and activities. 10/10 amazing time.

Could be a lot cleaner!!!

Over all the house was nice, but it had a lot of problems. First it was dirty. Inside cabinet drawer very dirty. Spider webs and dust everywhere. Some kind of infestation of lady bugs on the second floor. The couches where just disgusting ripped. For that kind of money that we paid for it it should be a lot better. Sorry for not so the review but it is what it is. The house needs come TLC and better cleaning crew.

Great Experience

My family and I had a wonderful time in and around this beautiful home. There was plenty of space for all of us. We loved swimming and lounging in and around the pond. We have a 1.5 year-old and we would advise anyone with a similarly-aged child to be cautious - there are several precarious areas in and around the house, including an open staircase and the dock area. (All worked out just fine for us since we had six adults to help supervise.) We also had a fantastic time sitting around the fire pit in the yard in the evenings.

Wonderful weekend away in our own little paradise

We stayed at Steve's property over a long weekend with a group of friends and had a lovely time! The house was clean, and furnished with everything we could need--extra linens, towels for the pond, cookware, spices, etc. The pond was a wonderful temperature, and we spent most of our days outside playing in the water. Overall, couldn't recommend more! We're eager to come back again!

What a lovely weekend!

We had 18 people in our group. We are a bunch of family and friends that have been getting together once a year to just enjoy and laugh together for a weekend in the summer. This house was perfect for us. The home had everything you would need and more. We were impressed over the cleanliness, abundance, cozy surroundings. Some of our friends wanted to tent camp and there was plenty of room on the property to do so. We swam and floated on tubes in the pond for hours.....so, so relaxing. And of course, caught a fish or two and threw them back. A great time was had by all. Steven was easily accessible and was quick to respond. Many of the group would like to return next year! Loved how rural and tucked away it was! Thanks!

Amazing lake house

This house is spacious and the private lake is just breathtaking. The house got everything we need and is very isolated which is a plus dying covid. Steve is super responsive and very easy to communicate. He provides flexibility for check in and check out time. Overall, we had a great time and I highly recommended this house!

Hard-to-find type of getaway in a quiet corner of PA

Steve's communication is great, his property is wonderful and is exactly what our group of 7 was looking for in our trip. The house had pretty much everything we needed for a long weekend of cooking for each other, even some things we didn't expect (a waffle maker!). The property is great for both indoor and outdoor activities. Do note that if you're going in the middle of summer, there's no AC so you'll be relying on fans to keep cool.

Perfect Getaway

My family stayed at Stevens house and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The house was well stocked with anything you would ever need. The private pond was ideal for my kids and us. We fished, took the canoe out and made the best fires at night with Smores. It’s extremely quiet and peaceful. Steven was truly great to work with and we look forward to returning in the summer.

Comfortable, charming, spacious cabin in idyllic location!

We met our daughter and grandchildren here and had the best family time, hiking in parks nearby, canoeing on the lovely little lake, sitting around fires in the fire pit... even with COVID restrictions and it being November we found plenty to do inside (we came with a stash of games and puzzles and guitars) and out and easily avoided unsafe contact with others. The house was bigger than we expected and well-furnished with comfy sofas and beds. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking pots and dishes; we were able to cook a complete Thanksgiving dinner there. Everything was in great working order. Steve was available by phone to talk me through using the wood stove and getting the TV going. The whole place was clean and tidy. I can only imagine how much more delightful it must be in warm weather!

Amazing Getaway

My friends and I came here as a mini vacation and had a great time. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay and we played a lot of sports on the giant lawn. Fishing in the pond was fun and we also took a 5 minute drive to the river where the fishing was incredible. I would definitely stay here again!
