About Gary Mulholland and Gary Freiberg
We genuinely care about our visitor's stay. We have carefully remodeled with a collection of new and antique furnishings to create a classy and fun feel. Not to be cliche, but Pacific Street Cottages is not just a business for our group, we hope to provide comfortable residences that are vehicles for memorable experiences for our guests. The owners are all family and friends. We have had nothing but a great time remodeling this classic multi era home and we're happy to talk with you about staying in, as Disney's "Finding Dory" said, our jewel of Morro Bay. We will do everything we can for your memorable stay.

Why Gary Mulholland and Gary Freiberg chose Morro Bay
Living by the ocean has a subtle influence that translates to attitude in welcoming our guests. Morro Bay and the Central Coast is a beautiful place to live, there is a communal pride, an interaction that if you nod to a local you'll get a smile back. People are friendly, our environment is slower paced. There's no freeway jams, no difficulty finding parking, appreciation of nature is pervasive . We are proud to have enhanced a beautiful Morro Bay Embarcadero property that was in need of remodeling. Keeping the natural appeal to the five buildings was integral to have a combination of authentic architecture with convenience and comfort wanted when enjoying a relaxing vacation. We sincerely welcome and look forward to your contact.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The unique benefit to this home, and to the complex of Pacific Street Cottages, is the location. Walk down the street a half block and you're in the center of Morro Bay's scenic Embarcadero with fresh fish markets, restaurants, shops, wine tasting, kayak rentals, tours, all set among commercial fishing boats and the natural beauty of the bay.

Cute town and cute cottage
Enjoyed it very much here!
Great location in a quiet neighborhood, near downtown and restaurants
Fine for a short stay as the location is very good. The unit is very small (no place to put your suitcase in the bedroom), the heater only heats the front room (bathroom never got above 60 degrees) so I would recommend this for a summer stay if you get cold easily. Very nice kitchen for its size, comfortable sofa. Parking is close by. Very glad that they have recycling bins and allow dogs !
Morro Bay Fun
We are regulars to the Pacific Cottages. This year we chose to spend Xmas there and it did not disappoint. The cottages are always clean, well appointed, and in the perfect location. Gary is always willing to help and responds promptly. See you in May.
Enjoyed the location. Easy walk to everything on the Embarcadero and Downtown area. Will return soon.
Peaceful cottage getaway
Great location near restaurants and views. Short walk to the Embarcadero and amazing view of the rock right outside your door. Cottage is comfy and was everything we needed for a long weekend getaway.
Pacific Street Cottages is the Gateway to the Morro Bay Embarcadero, the heart of the Morro Bay experience. An easy walk just a half block away, the Embarcadero is a working fishing marina, scenic and diverse. Uncrowded. Sea gulls, herons, the sounds and sight of otters are common. It's authentic and picturesque. Not corporate, no chain food restaurants. There are several fine casual dress restaurants serving delicious Sea Food purchased fresh from the fisherman at the docks. There's a variety of laid back restaurants, Wine tasting, a micro brewery, live music and bay side cafes to enjoy, not to use hyperbole, but it is, the spectacular 582 foot high Morro Bay Rock as the back drop to the bay and all its sights. And it's all within walking distance from Pacific Street Cottages. As is renting kayaks, canoes, boats, Stand Ups, surfboards and wetsuits. There's Captain Stew's Bay Cruises for $10, kids are five bucks, it's a great 45 minute slow cruise around the bay, gets close to the Rock, see otters lounging on their dock, narrated fun. There's lots of shops, art galleries and the cafes to sit outside and be amazed at the beauty, the friendliness and laid back feel of Morro Bay. Bicycle and 4 person Surrey rentals are available to check it all out at your leisure.
Downtown is a short walk as well. There's lots of small businesses.thrift stores, antiques mall and a great selection of restaurants. There's also the Bay Theater, $8.00 admission, Sunshine Health Food store and Shine restaurant. The beautiful Morro Bay Golf Course is just a mile away as well are hiking trails to Black Mountain. Hearst Castle in San Simeon is about a half hour away north on scenic Highway 1, rated as one of the most beautiful drives in the USA.
San Luis Obispo is an easy 20 minute drive South on Highway 1.
There are over 300 Wineries within a 30 - 45 minute drive east to Paso Robles.
In Disney's "Finding Dory" they want to return to the "Jewel of Morro Bay."
Humbly, we say, we think we are! 8>)
