A little slice of Heaven

We really needed a break from the daily grind, looking for something a bit off the beaten path, and found exactly what we were looking for in Terra Nova. We had the pleasure to spend a few wonderful nights with Guy and his incredible crew. Weather is always a factor when traveling to the tropics during the rainy season, and we got very lucky with spectacular weather for our entire stay. Our stay started with a pick up in El Nido, a boat ride out to the islands, and then on to Terra Nova. Over the next several days we got in some amazing snorkeling, a wonderful set of SCUBA dives, kayaking in spectacular lagoons, some hiking and even a flavor for the local village. While all of Guy's staff were amazing and certainly looked out for us the entire stay, I do have to shout out to three who really made the trip spectacular - Rose, Frances, and Irene. These three in particular were simply wonderful, fully embodied the Filipino spirit with a warmth and a smile that made our stay that once in a lifetime trip - it really did feel like a little slice of Heaven. We miss you guys and look forward to coming back soon!

Wonderful property

Wow, what can I say… the place was perfect for our group of 3 families and it exceeded all our expectations. We were a group of 13 (6 adults, 7 kids) and we ended up booking both the villas, so we had the entire place to ourselves. We were there for 5 days and 4 nights and it was a perfect getaway from our usually busy lives. Both villas are very well designed and between the villas, there is the restaurant/bar that is a convenient and welcoming place to hang out. The staff is amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our group had a great time. Pickup from the airport was smooth and it was a mini-adventure (a good one) to get to the villa. Once we got on the boat, which is very nice, we were served sandwiches, beer, and juice. Rooms were well designed, airy and had great views. Staff is what made the whole experience out of this world. Boat Crew: Each day that we were there, we would leave after breakfast, island hop, go snorkeling and so exquisite beaches. Lunch would be on the boat. The boat crew was amazing and the guide (goes by Big Boy) was amazing and took great care of the weaker swimmers so they were able to enjoy all the amazing activities. Restaurant Crew: Also amazing. All meals were freshly prepared and delicious. Dinner each night was a different there - island party with a bonfire on the beach, karaoke party, and so on. Each evening after we came back from a boat tour, we would have drinks and appetizers by the sunset bar before dinner. The only problem we had was that they ran out of all white wine, I guess we were drinking like fish while on the amazing island :) Other crew: attentive to all our needs and made us feel extra special the entire stay there. They helped set up all our activities, managed permits to small and big lagoons, set up great massage in the gazebo by the sea, etc. All in all, this was one of the best experiences we have had in southeast Asia…. Natural beauty, hospitality and luxury, and a decent price. Highly recommended and we will be sure to send all our friends there.

Paradise

Terra Nova was everything we had hoped for. After several days in the busy cities of Tagaytay and Manila, it was a much needed escape to Terra Nova. Our stay was very personalized, and communication with the Terra Nova team was great. We were able to connect with Guy and his team months in advance and they answered all of our questions. With it being our first time in the Philippines, Guy made sure we had travel arrangements to/from the airport as well as getting us in touch with a dive team that could accommodate our group of 7. They also booked us a trip to the Big Lagoon and made sure we had lunch on all of our excursions (on the boat or a beach). We stayed at Villa #2, which was beautifully decorated. We loved the sliding doors and big windows for views of the beautiful islands. All the personal touches of the villa made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. We had a beautiful view of the sunset each night. The staff was beyond accommodating and sweet. We met Guy, Tessa, Irene, Olga, Becka, Rowel, and many others. Tessa was extremely helpful in coordinating our excursions. Olga made all of our meals enjoyable with her friendly demeanor and excellence customer service. Rowel and his staff cooked us delicious meals every time and we even got to eat a barracuda sold by the local community. The staff even put together a bonfire and cooked us a meal on the beach. We also had a lot of fun karaoking with some of the staff members. These are all memories we’ll remember forever thanks to Terra Nova and the wonderful staff. The entire stay was very relaxing and fun. We will miss this little piece of paradise that we found. Thank you so much for having us!!!
