The Teifi Valley market towns of Tregaron and Lampeter are an easy drive away, but even the smallest of rural hamlets will offer a warm welcome and a host of attractions and history. Every town has a tale to tell and each village a mystery to discover, not surprising for a county that dates back over 1600 years. The cottage is within easy driving distance of the major towns in the area, Llanon being the nearest. Walking to Llanon is not too easy as you have to walk the lane from the cottage to Llanon, which includes a steep climb walking back.
The coast path runs through Llanon and there are regular busses travelling the coast road.
Because of Covid-19, we didn't eat out but used the cooking facilities in the cottage, which were more than adequate. The cottage is well laid out and decorated. We found it most comfortable and warm - given that the outside temperature was 5 degrees!
Vicky and Richard were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. We had an enjoyable few days at Bay View Cottage and would certainly stay there again.

This beautiful cottage I highly recommend. It is located in a very peaceful location in the countryside with hillside views of the sea.
Vicky welcomed us as we arrived and we found a welcome food basket in the kitchen, and fresh milk in the fridge. The cottage is spotless and very comfortable, with lovely soft towels.

Stayed 4th - 11th September.
Stayed 4th - 11th September. Loved this cottage, ideal for a couple with or without a dog, loads of space, modern kitchen diner, bedroom with en-suite walk in shower. The owners live next door with their two black labs, very helpful and friendly. Large secure garden with a 2 acre paddock next to it, ideal for giving your pet a good workout first thing and last thing.
Very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, everything you need for a week's relaxation near the sea. Aberaeron is a short drive away for your main shopping and a walk along the old railway line and river, nice walks also on the Welsh Coastal Footpath. Llanrhystud beach is even closer and is great when the tide is out, sandy and rock pools, very dog friendly. Look out for the very recently exposed ancient forest tree stumps at low tide, it featured on the local TV news whilst I was there.
Highly recommend this charming cottage and will almost certainly book again.

A lovely little cottage that has everything you would want or need.
A lovely little cottage that has everything you would want or need. Space hasn't been compromised by fitting in a 2nd bedroom, so there's loads of space both upstairs and downstairs - with a couple of large leather sofas if you both enjoy lounging horizontally whilst relaxing reading or watching TV.
There are great views over the sea (when the rain cleared) and there's a securely fenced lawned large garden and patio area so you don't have to keep an eye on your dog if you're outside. Speaking of dogs - the hosts put in some lovely kind touches, including dog bowls/mats some treats and a dog blanket (which ours used to lie in front of the electric flame effect fire).
The hosts are really welcoming but never impose and leave you alone unless you seek them out.
All in all, a very good base for exploring the area and very comfortable for those times you want to relax inside.

A very clean and well equipped cottage with stunning views at sunset over the sea.The cottage is well placed for exploring the Cardigan Bay and surroundings. You need to take provisions with you as there is only one local shop which is a drive away. Aberystwyth and Cardigan are good places to stock up. One of the best cottages we've ever been to.
One of the best cottages we've ever been to. Great location and extremely convenient to some lovely places. Let down ever so slightly by erratic heating (cold weather during our visit) and poorish WiFi and phone signal albeit the last two are quite common in rural locations. Having said that, we would go back again.

Bay View is a brilliant cottage, well equipped and maintained to a very high standard.
Bay View is a brilliant cottage, well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. It is in a peaceful location around a mile up hill from the village of Llanon with sea views from every window. We received a warm welcome from Victoria (and a thoughtful welcome basket) and the offer of assistance should we require it during our stay. We were also pleased to find that the cleanliness was at a very high standard. Although the cottage is very dog-friendly (enclosed garden, dogs encouraged as guests albeit on the ground floor only) there was no trace of the previous occupants canine friends. It is a great base for exploring the Ceredigion area and coastal path, but also to chill out and leave the hustle and bustle behind. We would happily recommend and return for a further stay.
