About Marsha Colson or L:isa Baker
We currently live in Baton Rouge, but we're Natchez natives. We visit Natchez regularly to help with the operations at our family home, Lansdowne Plantation, and catch up with old friends.
Marsha Colson or L:isa Baker purchased this Bungalow in 2016
Why Marsha Colson or L:isa Baker chose Natchez
We chose this house because of its central location, historic charm, and it was furnished. We needed the house for family members who spend the holidays at Lansdowne but want a private place to stay during their trip. We decided to rent it out to keep it from getting stagnant, and we couldn't have hoped for a better outcome!
What makes this Bungalow unique
This house gives you a true sense of what it feels like to live in Natchez. The neighborhood is one of the most sought after in the city, and you'll find a very diverse group of neighbors. Natchez is a little bit of everything all packed into a small town, and you're right in the middle of everything!

No more KEVO
I never used kevo before, and after reading about it and not understanding it I reached out to the owners and never got a response from them. On the way to Natchez we got a e-mail saying we were sent a. Key" once we got there it took us about 20 minutes to get in the door in a strange neighboor. No fun at all plus we call the owner as, Instructed with no answer. We finally got in and got ready to go to our venue" but could not get the door to lock, so I sent a email and got a call from someone who said they were acting on behalf of someone naned Lisa who I never had any dealing with" she proceeded to tell me that there was a real key in the box right there At the front door, she gave me the code we retrived the key out if the lock box which locked the back door only" and we were able to leave the house around 10:30pm, late of course" missing the first part of ny reunion. After that incident. everything went smooth except having to enter the house from the back door. Will I stay there again, yes if I could get a real key to the front door, the house is wonderful. Landscaping needs a lot of work other, I would gjve the house a 4 out of 5
Enjoyed our stay at Twin Olives! Very cozy and comfortable:)
Good and bad
The office site manager had to come unlock. Kevo lock was not set for the email I sent to the owner. As she was unlocking the door and large mirror fell off the wall. I don't think it broke but she recommended we not touch it. The yard was a terrible mess. Overgrown with poison ivy and vinca. No place to turn small dog loose, so he had to be walked. Met an interesting young lady from the apartment building next door. I am sure we will book again in Natchez, but probably in a cottage closer to town.
No cable tV
This little cottage does have a lot of charm and character, but as we are tv people we certainly missed getting the news.
Enjoyed the little porch, but it rained so much we couldn't get to the patio
The cottage was in a great location, close to downtown! It needs some TLC inside and some serious taming of the yard. The bed was comfortable, but living room furniture was worn out.
