Our eco-friendly home is very welcoming w recycled glass counter tops, bamboo floors & tankless water heater. We are located within walking distance of the Cumberland River w easy access to the Grand Old Opry tourist area. 2 bath 3 bedrooms w parking. Large fenced backyard w swing & covered patio. There is one bedroom w queen Murphy bed, one bedroom with full size bed, one bedroom w queen air bed, couch and recliner to sleep on. One bedroom is currently playroom but you can easily put the extra queen air bed in there. I love the country feel in an urban setting. There is a large dairy farm on the road before our house and we see cows in a pasture as we drive by but we are still located in the city of Nashville with all its great activities.

Poor Communications with Owner
There were several issues with the rental, most of which could have been resolved through better communications from the owner.
1. The combination to the house was not sent until the day of planned arrival. However, although I had requested that the combination be sent to my cell phone, it was transmitted via the VRBO web site. With no information received by telephone as I reached Nashville, I had to find a way to access my email while I was driving.
2. When we gained access to the house, we could find no instructions for pumping up the air beds and there were insufficient bed sheets provided. The request for help sent via the VRBO web site (which was difficult to access because the house has no internet) was not answered until after two uncomfortable nights by some of the guests.
3. On the second day, the lights in the bathroom stopped working. Again, internet access was required to request help from the owner, which did not come until the following day.
4. The air mattress, once pumped up, leaked and had to be pumped again every three hours.
5. There were only eleven hangars in the closets in a house advertised to accommodate seven persons.
On the positive side, the house was in otherwise excellent condition, neat and clean, and very tastefully decorated.

Upon on arrival, there was a load of DIRTY dishes in the dishwasher. The 50-inch television was in one of the bedrooms and we moved it into the living room so the four of us could watch TV. The beds were terrible. Access to the backyard was through a sliding door in the back bedroom. I have bruises on my legs where I hit the bed rails while trying to open the sliding door - about 18 inches between the bed rails and the sliding door. There was no other access to the backyard, due to the gate being padlocked shut. The backyard was a total DUMP!!! Yes, the property did have a BBQ (tabletop) that was filled with old briquettes, dirty grill, and a bent leg we tried to fix. The paint job in the living room was unfinished and the painter painted around the wall décor.
If the above issues were not enough, we had NO HOT WATER!!! The gas pipes running to the (Rinnai type) tankless water heater were too small to accommodate the property for dishes, laundry, and showers. This was discovered by one of our guests who retired from the gas company. I had one shower at this property with enough lukewarm water to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. Can you imagine being on vacation and having only a total of one shower at a property you paid good money for? The only other shower all of us had was at the Guest House in Memphis during our overnight stay there. We were not provided the owner's cell number, called HomeAway, and were given case reference number 09497370. HomeAway provided us Sandy's cell phone number. After several attempts, she answered our text with instructions on how to "reset" the tankless water heater...to no avail. Sandy wanted to send a maintenance person to the property to "fix it", but we left for Memphis and did not want strangers in the house while we were not there. We want our money back from Sandy and will be contacting HomeAway to make a formal complaint.
The property was very comfortable and cozy in a very nice neighborhood and the perfect distance from downtown the only problem we had was there are no TVs which means no cable and there is no Wi-Fi. My family loves watching TV spending time on their phones but other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.
