The house was everything we needed and more, porches were great to have an evening meal and enjoy the view. Everything we needed to have a home on vacation were right there. We will definitely rent here again.

Where do i start, the kitchen has wood flooring damage not grear for a baby who is crawling. The walls have water damage, hole in one wall. Picnic table on deck dry rotted and fell apart. Roaches everywhere. This house has potential and we had plenty of room but needs lot's of work, i can't believe we paid for this. Ocean lakes was great as always.

Ocean lakes is a great location

This is a very nice property, all the other reviews about the electrical problems are true. Half the lights and ceiling fans don’t work. All the wooden furniture on the deck has rot and are falling apart. The mosquitoes are very bad if you wanna spend any time outside, you will need repellent. It’s a half a mile from the beach and there isn’t a golf cart to use, you have to rent from ocean lakes. If you are a family with small children you will need a cart to get to the beach. The layout of the house is perfect for a family with small children, but unfortunately the lighting is not great.

We enjoyed our time there. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you need. We liked the deck and porch. Plenty of room for our family of 7.

Great house

Check in was easy and smooth. We loved this house, the layout was perfect & everything was clean! The kitchen had plenty of room for storage and cooking. Having 2 refrigerators was a great bonus. Location was great! Hopefully we can stay again next year!

Nice vacation

The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as the laundry and the deck over the driveway is where we spent most of our time under the big oak tree. Overall this property is as good or better than advertised, but it will need new flooring in the kitchen and master bath very soon. We would stay here again. Thanks for having us!

Great stay at Ocean Lakes

This home was perfect for families. Plenty of beds and bathrooms, a wonderful outdoor sitting area, and the best family campground on the beach. This is perfectly positioned for quick access to all the OL amenities and access to theain road to get to murrel's inlet and the city of Myrtle Beach. Jessica was so easy to work with and responsive. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back.

Great place and space for family vacation

Property was clean, host was very great at communication, great space for family vacation. We rented golf carts and they had extension cords available for charging. We enjoyed our visit. Thanks!

Place needs work

We had a lot of issues with this place. Sockets coming out of wall when you unplug things, overhead lights & vanity lights quit working, roaches all over decks at nite, no lights on deck or ceiling fan, no lights under deck to get to cars,storage boxes full of trash & junk, extra frig filling bottom & drawers with water, holes in walls, 2 broken windows & NO cleaning supplies. I would like to talk to the people that own this place. The property manager was supposed to call an electrician when we complained about lights flickering & not working on first nite there. He was supposed to come next day but never showed up. This was on Monday. I finally hear from her on Friday that he’s coming but we weren’t there. This house is a fire hazard & these issues need to be resolved. It needs some work to get it up to the standards that their advertising. . I have pics of all I’ve told you & pics where we left the house as clean as we could with no supplies to work with, not even a mop or vacuume. Thank you for helping in this matter. Bambi Harbin

This property is not for the handicapped.

The service road to access the ramp is a one lane rutted road that is not easily traversed by a wheel chair or walker. On entering the gate at the ramp there was a swarm of bees. My mom, over 70 yrs old, who was using a walker was stung. Jessica was aware prior to our arrival of her condition. To access the main entry from the ramp, you have to walk around to the opposite side of the home. The paneled glass door is rotted and has bondo holding in glass panels. This door is on the way up the ramp, not the entry door. In the path to get to the front door is a old cable tv wire sticking up through the floor of the porch which is a tripping hazard. There are broken windows & torn screens on both sliding glass doors. The worse was the mold and mildew smell as soon as you open the door. My allergies flared almost immediately. Wall paper is coming off the walls I do have pictures. The hall way wall was spongy at the damagedwall paper, it could be pushed in with your hand, holes in the yellow bed room wall, missing closet door,the other ready to fall off etc, the cleaning lady came with box tape because Jessica stated the problems in the house were not badd enough to spoil my vacation. That was Jessica's fix, box tape. Which didn't stick because the wall was that damp. Due to my allergies, my fiance is on a breathing machine and this is not as accessible as was led to be, safty hazards, I ask for a full refund which she denied. Thanks to many wonderful people at ocean lakes, it took hours in the pouring rain the day we arrived, but we found a great house within ocean lakes. This property is in need of necessary repairs and property maintenence!

Very spacious and a great location

Our family has stayed in several different homes within ocean lakes since 2004 and this one we will keep in the list to rent again! Jessica was very helpful and always prompt with and questions.

First Week Vacation

Overall, very great experience renting this property! The property was roomy for the amount of people we had staying and the location was ideal as well. The patios were amazing because they are very spacious and gave plenty of room for you to sit outdoors and enjoy socializing with friends. Really enjoyed my stay! Jessica- the property manager is also very easy to get in contact with. Highly recommend this place for future vacations!!!

Location and surrounding neighborhood were great. Fishing ponds, stores and water park and everything you need were relatively close. The house that we stayed in was not in the best shape. Seems/felt like the outside of this property has not been taken care of for quite a while compared to other houses we saw during our stay. Example: Picnic table were loose and rotting Most outside electrical outlets do not work even after flipping breaker. Large amounts of leaves and weeds surrounding the property. Large bugs outside and inside due to all the extra moisture from leaves surrounding house and on top of house. Property manager was great. A little TLC would turn this place into a gem….

We had a wonderful time Jessica was so easy to work with I would rent this house again. the only thing is it needs some more comfy chairs on the porch. Bathrooms and kitchen very clean Bed were nice it was easy have the sheets provided . The hair chair was dirty but they didn't now about it and are replacing it . Thanks again Marie

A relaxed atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home for our vacation. The home was clean, spacious, and warmly inviting. Jessica my contact person was available at all times and super helpful if when we needed any assistance. My only suggestion would be to label the light switches. I had a hard time finding out what switch went to each light but other than that I highly recommend this rental as well as the representative that cares for the property. Thank you for making my stay very comfortable.

Liked ocean lakes just to many issues with the house.

Had a fun family vacation but the house had issues. Jessica was quick to help out but still was not pleased. Says house sleeps 10 but really only sleeps 8. Air mattress that went flat every night does not count as a bed. Says access deck from rooms but the sliders was screwed shut. Seating outside was not very nice and there wasn’t enough for everyone. Junky table and chair were on the deck and looked trashy and picnic tables needed cleaned. Needs a lot of tlc in my opinion. Would not rent this one again. Not worth the money.

We were satisfied but not sure we’d rent again.

The interior of the house is nicely decorated and was comfortable, especially the master. However, we felt some rooms were a little dark and needed more lamps or higher wattage bulbs. Kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved two refrigerators. We were concerned about a stale, musty smell in the den and saw in one corner some black mold possibly that could be caused by a leak. Owner might want to investigate. The location was great, and we enjoyed all the decking. There was a nice breeze most of the time and great shade from the trees. We never did figure out how to turn on fans on porch or how to turn on some of the outside lights. We did feel the yard and flower beds need attention. Lots of piping and building materials in yard and neglected flower beds that need attention or elimination. We enjoyed the golf cart but didn’t let teenagers drive it because brakes are really slack making cart difficult to stop. Lights are really hard to turn on. We rented another one from OL for them. Jessica was always quick to answer her phone and respond to our questions as best she could. We are still confused about the alarm on the front door that occasionally went off. We felt this was a nice place that could be greatly improved with some work on the yard.
