This newly renovated and professionally decorated 3BR, 2BA bungalow (sleeps 6) on Austin’s east side is a 15-minute walk to Rainey Street. Relax with U-verse cable and Xbox, plus a propane heater in the fabulous backyard. Park easily on the street or behind the house.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
This dark blue house with white trim has a stone pathway through a grassy yard. The spacious front porch includes a swing and ceiling fan. Indoors, find beautiful hardwood floors in every room.
The bedroom to the left of the front door has a queen-size bed with all white bedding and a large closet. You’ll love the zebra-pattern area rug and the plethora of windows.
Down a small hallway, another bedroom has a queen-size bed, charming butterfly wall decor, area rugs, and a vintage wooden dresser.
The bathroom next door has a walk-in double-headed shower with gorgeous tiling.
A doorway from the hallway leads to the open-concept living area. The dining table near the front door has seating for 6. Enjoy a meal with plenty of natural light from several windows.
The living room feels comfy with a large area rug under the sofa and a unique coffee table. The 46” wall-mounted flat screen TV and Sonos player will keep you entertained, and there’s a desk with a lamp if you want to read or research your next Austin adventure.
The kitchen, like the rest of the house, is newly remodeled with brand new stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, large gas stove, and double-door fridge/freezer. You’ll find the stack-able washer/dryer in the storage room just beyond.
Directly off the kitchen is the master bedroom, which has a queen-size bed with fabric headboard and a walk-in closet. Open up the French doors to the backyard for fresh air. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Access the fenced backyard oasis from the kitchen’s storage room or the master bedroom. You’ll find a large wooden deck with steps down to “Xeriscaped” gravel under tall trees. Enjoy this space no matter the weather with an outdoor heater near the table and chairs and a Weber gas grill.
Although you can park easily on the street, the backyard includes a parking area accessible from a side alley. Open the wooden gate for a convenient unloading spot.
No need to drive or take a cab—you’re within walking distance of hip Rainey Street Historic District's fantastic bars and restaurants. The downtown convention center and other important SXSW festival sites are also nearby.
We recommend the gourmet fare at Launderette (15 minute's walk) and coffee at Cenote, a neighborhood favorite (7-minute walk). Other restaurants to note include Bufalina, Stay Gold, Weather Up, and La Barbecue.
When you want to enjoy the outdoors, you’re also close to Lady Bird Lake, where you can hike, bike, and rent a kayak or paddleboat.
