Bayfront with Private Pool! Outdoor games, modern style! - The Blue Crab

Enjoy this VERY spacious 4/4 on the Bayfront. You will have your own private pool (opens December 16, 2021, pictures coming soon!)! Beach access is located on Sehoy and Sam Houston Side Streets. Approximately .35 miles to beach access. We will provide you with parking passes. Crab pots included! Kayaks are also included! This is a new home with modern amenities, including a workstation and good internet for work, school, and play. The home has great outdoor game spaces and a huge deck. Stay tuned for updates on a new pool. Enjoy the large combined kitchen, dining, and living areas, where you can see our famous sunsets. This house truly gives you room to stretch out, relax and breathe the salt air. See you soon!
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time. (Children under 2 are welcome and do not count toward occupancy.)
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.

We had an amazing time! Our kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the bay. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked. Very peaceful and quiet. We loved it.

Great vacation home!

I loved my stay at Dauphin Island. The home was beautifully situation situated between a bay and the beach. My children had the opportunity to walk out to the bay and pick up seashells and walk a small beach. On the other side of the home, there was a beach facing the Gulf. There were not a lot of tourist and always space at the beach. I suggest this home and location for family vacations.

Absolutely amazing

The house was immaculate. We so enjoyed the peaceful Bayside and loved the included paddleboards! It was chilly, but we asked that the heat be turned on in the pool and with the cover, it held heat well! We are already planning our next trip back.

Beautiful vacation home

This house was perfect for our family! It was right on the beach (bay side) and just a few min walk to the public access that was on the gulf side. Best of both worlds! The pool was awesome, the house had everything you would ever need. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was great for our 3 kids. We rented a golf cart for the week and went to the different shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend this house!

Great getaway

Loved this House. It had everything you could possibly imagine to accommodate guests. The views were awesome. The kids enjoyed the pool . I loved how the colors in the pool changed at night. We enjoyed using the kayaks. The only downfall, we had to go home! One of the best vacations !! I can’t wait to come back again.

Wonderful vacation spot!

This was a wonderful place to stay, plenty of room for 4 adults and 5 kids with room for more if needed. It was very clean and in a great location, we enjoyed the bay side and walked over to the gulf side to enjoy the waves. The kids loved the pool and several of our group used the kayaks. You didn't eat all that you said you need every bit of it you did. Did you eat that you going to buy the cheeseburger?

The house is perfect! Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. Beds are very comfortable, nice linens. Washer dryer and all appliances clean and functional. Heated pool is amazing. The property backs to the bay with a small beach where kids can play, gulf is across the street. Beautiful sunrise from my bedroom window. The island is low key so very relaxing. We would love to stay again.

We have been coming to Dauphin Island for many years now. This house was by far the best one yet! Although the weather was not the best, the pool was heated, and the beach was right out of your back door. We still had so much fun kayaking and paddleboarding and some great beach barbeques!

It was great perfect bay house

Property was clean and beautiful. Beds were comfortable plenty of towels. We had everything we needed. The kayaks and beach chairs were awesome. The kitchen was well equipped. The closest beach parking lot is very small we were unsuccessful getting a spot so walking to beach entrance that was a better option for us.The grill is not propane but charcoal so be prepared. We will definitely stay again it was a great trip.

Dickson/Patton Beach Vacation

This property was amazing!! The pool was a great add for something to do besides the beach!! They provide beach chairs, kayaks and paddle boards!! The kitchen has every utensil you need. The one story house was great for littles because you didn’t have to worry about issues with stairs. The house also has a high chair!! We will definitely be back!!

Blue Crab Experience

Property was beautiful and the layout of the house was great for us. Pool is perfect for young children. House is also well stocked with what you need. Some areas to be improved:1. House was not well swept/vacuumed.2. Back deck has a few nails that stick up.3. Microwave makes loud cracking noise. We were afraid to use during our stay.4. Path to beach is not maintained- needs to be widened and at the very least mowed along the narrow path.

Natural vacation spot

Great house in a natural area. First time to the Alabama coast. Relaxing area, just enough to do and felt like we got away. The house is well thought out, with lots of windows and natural light. Complete in regards to amenities. beach gear, grill, etc. Good views, Kitchen, Bedrooms are comfortable, and responsive owners and management company. Had an internet problem that was solved quickly. We will return to this house.

The Best Vacation

We absolutely loved staying at The Blue Crab. The house was perfect for our group of 9 people. The little kids loved the bunk room! We loved how open the house was and that we could see the beach and bay right out the back door. The pool was an added bonus that was used everyday!! The property owners were excellent to work with and they checked in to see if we needed anything a couple days out, which was really nice. They were very helpful with the keypad because it wasn’t working when we got there. Even though it rained everyday for short period of times we still made the most of it. The back porch was great to sit on during the day, stay dry and watch it rain while the kids played. We will definitely be back! The only complaint we had was when we arrived we had to vacuum the floors when we got there because there was so much sand on the floor. But that was an easy fix! Otherwise everything was perfect!

Beach house

Unfortunately the property wasn’t clean at all. It took us 2 hours to get in the house. The property management didn’t answer and they didn’t send the check in code for the door. Very disappointing and frustrating. The location is beautiful and the house just needs a very good cleaning. The pool was green and we had people on the gamy the whole time . The back yard had guest from next door in it the whole trip so it’s not very private. Wouldn’t be a problem normally but we thought it was somewhat private. I feel like with all the issues that the property management shouldn’t reached out and at the very least sent someone to clean a little more. 2 bathrooms had problems with drains and also the kitchen sink didn’t work. I would go back to this property if was properly cheaped and Some of the issues resolved.

I am sorry we missed your first call, but I do see our guest service team was able to get your check-in code when you spoke on the phone with them 4 minutes later. I also see where our team went out to ask the guests who were on your property to be mindful of the property lines and your privacy. I do not see where you contacted us about any cleanliness issues, we would have been happy to have housekeeping come back to the property for you. If you visit us again, please know you can contact our team at anytime. We have even improved our communications system since your stay to make it easier for our guests to contact us.

perfect family beach set up

Ive been to the Island hundreds of times but this was my first renting a place on the bay side/beach front. We all really enjoyed the low key calm waters, very easy to boat and fish, minimal waves are nice for little ones. Appreciated the kayaks and paddle boards, golf cart rental was fun. Home was was spacious and well appointed , 4 full baths. very comfy beds, AC worked great. definitely recommend

Great place for family and friends! Perfect bayside location that feels like you're oceanfront.

The house was perfect for our three families. We have children ages 5 to 10 and the shallow bayside was perfect for them to play in. They made hermit crab homes and sandcastles every day. We all loved the paddle boards, kayaks, and beach chairs that came with the home. We didn't even need to bring our own sand toys. The beds were amazing, I don't think I've ever slept in such comfy beds on vacation. Having our own bathrooms was perfect! Plenty of towels and space. We loved the big table for meals. We used the boiling pot for a shrimp boil and crab boil the next night (we recommend Skinner's!) The grill worked great too. The kitchen was well stocked but doesn't come with any extras like aluminum foil or coutertop cleaner. They don't supply a starter laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and only one dishwasher tablet, so definitely bring those along with paper towels, toiletpaper, and trashbags. The water pressure in the showers are pretty weak, but there was plenty of hot water to go around. Overall, a great place!

One of the BEST

This property was absolutely perfect. Very spacious, very clean and VERY accomadating. Very comfortable beds (even the bunk beds) The view of the bay is breath taking and the beach is just a short walk across the street. The public beach is just a 1 minute drive down the street. I have nothing but good things to say about this property.
