It’s an easy walk to the beach, the popular Pelican Pub or the upscale Meridian Restaurant from this freshly updated modern home in beautiful Pacific City.

You’ll love the wide-open gathering spaces in this versatile, three-bedroom home, with an upper-level extended living room space separate from the open dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is fully updated, with stainless appliances, new cabinets and an extra-large fridge. It opens to a private, fenced, sunny deck and the large, grassy backyard, making it an excellent secondary hub for gathering. The kids will love their own bunk room plus a bathroom with a futuristic shower, not to mention the ping-pong table in the garage. The adults will love the spa tub on the upper level, which serves two queen bedrooms.

You’ll find plenty to do outdoors in Pacific City, with hiking on the beach in Bob Straub State Park, exploring tidepools and watching the surfers at Cape Kiwanda, and even horse-back riding on the beach in summer. It’s also a terrific central location for exploring Lincoln City to the south and Tillamook to the north—lots of great day trips will keep your coastal vacation humming. We had a nice stay

This was a nice place to stay near the beach. We walked to the beach, sand dunes and to Pelican Restaurant and Brewery. Our kids enjoyed the ping pong table. It is right on the main road so if you have small children be careful but for us it wasn’t an issue. There wasn’t too much traffic. We enjoyed our stay!

Needs updating and decorating . Had copiuos amounts of spiders, needs pest control. We had to plunge the downstairs bathroom sink, it was clogged on arrival

Good location, pet friendly home within walking distance of beach and downtown.

This home has a large accessible garage with ping pong. It has a unique layout with the kitchen, one bedroom and a bathrooms on the lower floor and the two other bedrooms and main living area on the 2nd floor. The house is well equipped and spacious. It isn’t an upscale residence but is nice enough that you are happy to be there but not so fancy that you feel like you’re in a museum. One drawback is a lack of a fenced yard for pets but there is room to roam to the side of the house and up front. Overall, great value and a nice stay. Easy check-in via door code.

Great value don’t expect the yard to be there

Overall the house was in good shape. The photo showing the big yard is misleading as there is no yard due to a new house being built. Whoever did the remodel also caulked in the plastic liner in the shower insert which is an interesting strategy. Also lots of spiders in the house primarily the garage and storage area under the stairs. With that being said the location of the house was great, beds where comfortable, two deck spaces also great. Well equipped kitchen and the garage space was a great bonus. Short walk to the beach easy enough for my 3 year old. Would 100% rent again.

Do not recommend

For the price, this was terrible. The kitchen is downstairs with no living room area and only 4 old, dingy chairs at the dining table. Didn't have basic necessities to cook a meal such as a cutting board, knives that cut, or foil for the grill. Pots in cupboards were dirty with food stuck on them. The home itself has an old odor to it. It doesn't feel homey at all. There is no paved driveway or Landscaping or backyard. It's just a bunch of weeds everywhere. The shower had plastic on it and is too small to move in unless you're under 120 lbs. The upstairs bathroom had a dead bird coming out through the vent fan. There were bugs (centipedes and silverfish looking) in both bathrooms. The garage floor does not look anything like the photos depict. There were snails and cobwebs everywhere and the ping pong table was missing one paddle so only three players could play. Overall this is a very Bare Bones home so don't expect it to be a home away from home at all. For the price, one would expect much much more. The location was the good thing, very close to beach but the city is so small that it's hard to be very far.

Has Potential, but was Filthy

I’ve never left a negative VRBO review before today. I had to call to get the door code as one wasn’t sent before-hand. We entered through the garage per instructions, which had large puddles of standing water that made the place smell like mildew and mold, unhealthy for breathing. There was food, hair and white spots that looked like semen all over the comforter in the main bedroom. We stripped it and didn’t even use it- wouldn’t fit in the washing machine. The sheets had hairs all over them. We took pictures it was so bad. The knives were dirty and used and just placed back into the drawer. Garbage was overflowing outside. The slider door is in desperate need of repair. There was dog poop left on the wooden back deck. We didn’t have pets with us, so this was all left after past guests. When my kids went to use the tv, the latest searches were porn. The chairs in the upstairs living area were dirty and in need of a shampoo to the point that we weren’t comfortable sitting in them. There were large spiders in the downstairs bathroom. I’ve rented VRBO’s for years and have been very happy, but this the most filthy property I’ve ever encountered. This property has so much potential, given its size and location, but unfortunately is not being cared for and cleaned properly.
