The Space:
This alluring and pristine two-bedroom end terrace home is in beautiful condition for your stay.

With one queen bed and two single beds in the upstairs two bedrooms you'll find a restful space with also a small private balcony off the second bedroom which has the single beds. The second-floor bedroom level is accessed by a stunning sprial staircase.

The compact bathroom is located on the ground floor of the house, through the kitchen. The kitchen itself is well equipped with a dishwahser, combination washer/dryer, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, oven and all the usual features you might expect in a comfortable home.

The living area is open plan with the kitchen and features a sofa area for unwinding with the Smart tv in the evenings and also a separate dining area closer to the kitchen. There is air conditioning in the living area and master bedroom with a strong fan provided for the single bedroom. In the colder periods, heating will be available also.

Guests should note we really don't recommend they come with a car. So much public transport and so many major sights are available within a short walking distance of this home that it's really not needed. Added to this, parking in the area is restricted to outside working hours only and is very very limited. Bringing a car will genuinely be very time-consuming and inconvenient for you. That being said, you may be able to rent parking locally through sites like Parkhound if you need parking in the area for a longer stay.

The house is located in a popular, bustling, vibrant, active residential and entertaining area and as such, you have wonderful proximity to bars, restaurants and nightlife nearby. Guests should understand this comes with the possibility of some element of street noise at all hours but the reward of such a central location and walkability more than makes up for it we feel.

The Neighborhood:
Darlinghurst is an inner-city suburb located just east of Sydney's Central Business District. Like many of Sydney's inner suburbs, this was once a rundown part of town known for its red light district. Today this is a youthful, vibrant neighborhood with an abundance of cafes, restaurants, and nightlife.

It's a popular area for young professionals, creatives and is the heart of Sydney's LGBTQ community. Every year it hosts the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, a huge parade and festival which attracts hundreds of thousands of people. Parking can be difficult here.

When you want to see some nature, you're just a stone's throw to the harbor and some of the beautiful nearby parks.

Getting Around:
Buses
Sydney's extensive bus network offers multiple routes that pass through or near Darlinghurst, making it an accessible and budget-friendly option for reaching the suburb. Key routes that serve the area include the 333, 389, and 396 buses. These buses connect Darlinghurst with major hubs such as Bondi Junction, Circular Quay, and the Central Business District. To plan your journey, you can use the Transport for NSW Trip Planner or download a transport app like TripView.

Trains
While there isn't a train station directly in Darlinghurst, the closest stations are Kings Cross on the Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and Museum on the Airport & South Line. Both stations are within walking distance or a short bus ride from the heart of Darlinghurst. Light Rail
Another option for reaching Darlinghurst is the Sydney Light Rail, which runs from Circular Quay to Randwick and Kingsford. The nearest light rail stop to Darlinghurst is Surry Hills, located just outside the suburb's western boundary. From the Surry Hills stop, it's a short walk or bus ride to reach Darlinghurst.

Other Things to Note:
All the apartments we manage come with a welcome letter and detailed information so you know how everything works to ensure you can get the most out of your stay. All bedding and towels (note one bath towel per person) are included along with beginner basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, shampoo, bodywash and toilet paper to get you through the first few days.

Prior to arrival, we ask all guests to quickly fill in some contact information and tell them a little bit more about how we hope they'll look after the apartment.

Not a very good stay. The place is smaller than expected. Location is on a loud street. It was advertised as a “quiet neighborhood”. We couldn’t safely get the luggage up the stairs. I have pictures to show you. The washer/dryer did not work. Floor boards in the 2nd bed room are coming up. The bathroom room is dated and didn’t look “clean”. The host was not very helpful. He told us to go to a laundry mat to dry our clothes. We are ok with paying a premium price but not for this place. I would not reco this place. Nothing like the BRB we stayed in New Zealand the day before. Kelvin

Kelvin, your review and experience are entirely your own doing. We don't say that lightly but you're misleading others with this review. The pictures are accurate, clearly show the spiral staircase and include a floorplan; you didn't look at the listing closely when booking. We do admit though that the spiral staircase isn't ideal for larger guests. The washing machine worked fine, but the dryer function of it wasn't heating; as soon as you reported this to us, we tried to troubleshoot with you, and then we tried to arrange a repair - you stopped responding, so we made the alternative suggestion of the laundromat. You have misremembered the listing text about the neighbourhood; it says this is in a lively area surrounded by bars and nightlife. We treated you with the warmth, utmost care, respect and gave you all the help possible as we do with all guests because we are Premier Hosts, the top tier for hosting quality, but unfortunately, nothing ever seemed to make you happy. We welcome prospective guests to book and see how incorrect this review is.

What stood out the most has been the customer service from both Vrbo and the host. The host was very responsive making the stay stress free. The location itself was the perfect amount of peacefulness yet close enough to be in the hustle and bustle in a heartbeat.
