We had a great family vacation and enjoyed the pool and decks of the home every day. The location is premier and the views are beautiful. However, there are some obvious fixes that would improve the experience for your guests. The landscaping and yard maintenance is poor. There is trash around the pool area and yard, and there are broken and dirty chairs in the lawn. The lawn has not been mowed (only weed eating once while we were there). There was poison ivy and we saw two large snakes during our stay. The home has a problem with bugs. There were ants in every room. We had to spray daily, and no one came to exterminate even when we contacted them at the beginning of the week. The ants and palmetto bugs (roaches) were a source of anxiety and stress all week.There is a couch in the driveway that needs removed with the garbage. The closets could not be fully used because there are pictures and Knick knacks filling them. The back door knob will not lock easily and it is very difficult to open. A maintenance man came to fix it but he did not have the needed screw, and no one ever came back. This home could be very nice with some minor attention. Overall, we had a great time, but we definitely had to deal with the above-mentioned items throughout the week.

"Osprey Nest" May Stay

The house was in a great location to the beach, restaurants, wal-mart, and to other activities. The house needed some repairs and a few other things addressed. However, for our stay, we made lots of good memories. The pool and hot tub was great once we figured out how to use the hot tub. Beach area was nice. Needs a little fixing up inside and out but for our needs it worked out really nice.

Family getaway

Overall, our stay was nice. Booking and check-in were smooth, and the extra night offer was a thoughtful touch. The house has amazing views, quick beach access, and we loved the pool and hot tub.However, cleanliness could be improved—there was a dirty blender with residue that attracted gnats. The grills didn’t look usable, and some tables were wobbly as stated in previous reviews. Plumbing issues limited us to 2 of the 4 bathrooms, but the team responded quickly.The biggest downside was the roaches (palmetto bugs), which were hard to ignore. With better cleaning, pest control, and maintenance, this could be a fantastic rental.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location and back deck were superb!!! However, this property looked to be a work in progress. It wasn’t ready to house guests. Trash around lawn area. Was recently painted, but all wall decor still in closets, light switch plates not replaced. The plumbing in one of the bathrooms was definitely not working correctly. No towels bars in bathrooms was very unhandy. The listing didnt indicate that one of the 4 bathrooms was out in the guest house!? Living room TV remote had no working batteries, so had to haul a TV from upstairs down to living room; a leg broken off of coffee table. This could be a really nice place, but needs some attention!!!

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the Osprey Nest.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the Osprey Nest. The beachfront view is breathtaking, especially from the upstairs balcony. The location is excellent, and the house is large and accommodating. The property management was communicative and nice every time we interacted with them, too. The pictures accurately capture the house's essence and the potential of what it will be as they continue cosmetic updates. However, there were very evident patches all across the ceilings, painting jobs that were not finished across some rooms, the guesthouse above the garage is very dated, and the bathroom sink didn't drain for the family members who stayed there the duration of our stay. We moved the round coffee table in the living room, and the leg fell off; the kitchen bar stools weren't sturdy and had screws falling off, and the coat hanger flipped upside down upon hanging a coat on it. Those are minuscule things that don't affect the entire stay, but for some, it might, especially when all is said and done; you're spending thousands for your family to have a higher quality stay. The whole family had mostly positives to share but also acknowledged the need for many intentional and thorough updates overall.
