The room was well maintained and clean. Nice clean linens. The bed was very comfortable. There was not any coffee which was a disappointment.

All was great but a closed up odor that greeted us when w opened the door. We left the door open for awhile and turned off AC. Not sure what the source of odor was but we managed. The place was clean and that is a big deal. We were satisfied and would visit again. Maybe some air fresh spray could fix this odor problem.

After reading mixed reviews, I booked this property as there wasnā€™t any availability in the area. The two bedroom cottage smelled musty upon arrival. The unit was full of spider webs and spiders. The beds were clean but very uncomfortable. It was very hot in the unit even with the A/C on high. In the middle of the night, the fireplace came on. But there wasnā€™t a thermostat to shut it off. In hindsight, if I couldā€™ve canceled and got my money back, we wouldā€™ve continued our trip and stayed elsewhere

It was nice to have separate room from the kids; however the walls are paper thin and we could hear them talking and moving around all night. That was the most uncomfortable and loud bed I have ever tried to sleep on. Pillows also sucked. Cottage was clean overall except the numerous ants crawling all over the counter with whatever was left on there. There was not enough dish soap available to clean it. It wasnā€™t horrible but we wonā€™t be returning.

Bed was ok. Toilet moved when used and not connected to the floor. Shower ran constantly and flooded the floor and had to use towels to not slip on floor. No coffee pods for coffee pot, when requested, promised but never delivered. Rented three nights, left one day early with no refund.

Small, quaint, served our needs.

We stayed in the Basic Cabin with 1 queen, 2 twin beds. It was quaint, small, clean, old rustic and appeared to have had some renovations. The queen bed was soft and comfy. The twin bed mattresses were thin and harder. Couldnā€™t get the ceiling fan to work, and the gas wood stove wasnā€™t needed on a hot night. All the cooling came from a small window A/C unit. Kitchenette was pretty stocked. Bathroom was quite small and there wasnā€™t a toilet paper rod. The exposed pipes behind the shower were reminiscent of very old homes, not a big deal. There needs to be blinds for the small kitchen window because from the outside it looked past the kitchen area and right into the room with twin beds if that door was open. All in all, we enjoyed our 1 night there and would stay there again.

Would give it less than zero stars if we could !

Didnā€™t even stay. Check in was a text convo send pic of id Iā€™ll send cottage number and door code. Took 5 tries before worked. Owner not at property. Walked in there were ants on counter, grease marks from prev guest, not like it showed in pics at all, exposed piping and electrical hazards through out bathroom had feces in toilet , stain on sink skirt mold on walls, smelled like mold, bedding had stains on it, beds were cots not mattresses , tv wouldnā€™t turn on, dirty sponge on sink, water stains on a lamp that didnā€™t even work! Toilet paper had spider webs and dust on it, there was chipping paint off walls, pool water was green and not maintained, charcoal grill had food still on it, overall dirty, extension cord being run imposed a hazard to my toddler , dirty, small and felt like we would be staying in a prison cell if stayed. When I expressed this the owner told me she would not refund us and itā€™s no longer her problem because we got the code to the door and already checked in so deal with it or go somewhere else and contact hotels.com I plan on disputing further with hotels.com and if that donā€™t work I will dispute with my bank. I wouldnā€™t have stayed there if they paid me. Put it that way. We checked in at Foxridge down the road and that was 10/10 ! I would give zero stars to this place if I could. Do not waste your money or sanity on this outdated filthy box !! Looks like it hasnā€™t been slept in in years. Creepy to say the least.

A little outdated but overall an adorable stay in a great location. Was slightly confused by the check-in process (there is no front desk on site) and instructions are communicated via text. A/C took a while to cool the room down, bathroom is a bit small, and the pool was dirty (we skimmed it ourselves!) Despite the need for a few updates, weā€™d love to visit again.

Had a good time at this cabin. The inside was decorated well and the bed was large and comfortable. The photos online were slightly misleading as we thought we would atleast have a microwave but only had a very small, warm mini fridge. There was no mention that fire pits and grills wouldnā€™t be available until June 1st

Cute little spot. We slept 4 comfortably (2 bedrooms). Bathroom is small, but it was expected. Thermostat-controlled gas wood stove is a nice touch. Living room is nice to have. Great value!

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE STAYING THERE

This was, by far, the worst place my wife and I have ever stayed at. The cabin is super small. Every window and door was drafty so the cabin was never as warm as you'd like it to be in the winter. There was a tree hitting against the cabin due to high winds that would make it feel like the cabin was going to cave in. The bathroom was unfinished. You could see the plumbing for the shower like they didn't even attempt to hide it. The best part was the shower didn't have cold water hooked up to it. So your shower was either super burning hot or super burning hot. The floors were always freezing. No indoor place to put your snowy shoes so the floor is always covered in salt or water. My wife and I had to go buy crocs specifically so we didn't have to step barefoot on the floor. The most shocking part of this whole experience was that they're legally allowed to have humans stay there. How these people are still in business is beyond me. I'd rather sleep in my truck next time.

The Worst Stay We've Ever Had ā€“ Unsafe, Negligent, and Unacceptable I never write bad reviews. I always try to see the good, even in the worst experiences, because Iā€™ve worked in service my whole life and understand how tough it can be. But our stay at White Mountain Cottages was so beyond unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others. From the moment we arrived, it was a disaster. The floors inside the cottage were wet and waxed, making them incredibly slippery. My partner and I both slipped and got hurt, which should never happen in any accommodation that claims to be safe. The noise levels were unbearable, with no effort made to maintain a quiet environment. But worst of all, there was zero communication from management, and the parking lot was NEVER plowedā€”despite being in an area where heavy snow is expected. On the morning of checkout, things went from bad to dangerous. Even 20 minutes AFTER the mandatory checkout time, we were still snowed in. The exit was completely blocked, making it impossible to leave safely. No staff were present to assist, no plowing had been done, and no instructions were given on how to handle the situation. This is beyond bad serviceā€”itā€™s outright negligence. If you care about your safety, comfort, or even just being able to leave on time, do not stay here. There are far better options in the area that will actually take care of their guests.
