Wonderful stay! It was raining and cold while we were there so we didn't get to interact with the horses too much but the room was lovely and it provided a very comfortable stay.

The cabin was great. It was definitely a home away from home. We got to pet the horses and were able to see the northern lights on a clear day. The only con I have is that our beds were on the softer side and lumpy but it didnā€™t factor in my rating. My advice is definitely come before sundown because the roads are dark and road is somewhat rocky. Also, get your snacks and/or food before you come cause it a decent drive to find something and most of the stores close early

Lovely and cozy stay. The cabin has everything you need to relax. Enjoyed walking around and seeing the horses and property. There was also a kitty whom was just the sweetest!! A great place to relax and unwind. Please note there are no TVā€™s in the cabin(GOOD!) and the horses donā€™t directly come to your door but only 20ft behind an electric fence. If I had but a minor criticism itā€™s check-in. I felt silly that I walked up to Mr.Icelandā€™s house but he was outā€¦maybe have a small sign to advise to check the email? (Did that afterwards) I had another guest ask me about check-in while I was walking around the farm. Still, overall highly recommend!

Unbelievable experience and a must see. Truly sleeping among horses on the most peaceful, picturesque property. Only about 15 minutes to a town with several dining options and a grocery store. We got to pet the horses and take a beautiful evening walk alongside their pasture. The cabins themselves are gorgeous and very luxurious- the bedding was amazingly comfortable. I wish we had more than one night! A once in a lifetime experience.

Amazing but.....

This place is amazing. Everything was great but there are things that i need to nitpick here. 1. It took me an hour to be able to lock the front door. I don't know about the other cabins but the one i was given, Kristall, was giving me that issue. 2. The air conditioner was not working or i was not able to get it to work. 3. The shower was loose at the bottom causing water to spray out. 4. Judging by the name and pictures i assumed there was going to be horses everywhere. There was only 2. So with all of that i am only giving it 4 stars and not lower only because of how it made it us feel. It felt home to us and that's what we are always looking for.

Lovely stay BUT deceptive marketing!

We loved our stay BUT the marketing photos and name of the hotel are very deceptive. You DO NOT get the horses coming to your cabin, there is a fence (electric) at least 20ft or more away from the cabins and the horses donā€™t come near you, you can see them afar from your cabin only. You can see Icelandic horses alllll over Iceland so this isnā€™t really a special experience. The cabins are wonderful and so is the overall location but you will be disappointed if you are going to want to do what the girl in the photos is doing as that is not going to happen! I highly suggest they remove the photos of the horses coming to the cabin so they donā€™t get more disappointed guests.

Sleeping with the horses is a quiet retreat conveniently located to the Golden Circle. Make sure you rent a 4-wheel-drive if you go in the winter. The last 4 km is on an unpaved road. We got stuck in the mud when we took a wrong turn. The good news is that, Hƶrưur was our knight in shining armor and brought a large tractor to pull us out in the middle of a driving rainstorm. The Blessi cabin is actually one large room with a separate bathroom. There are a minimum of dishes in the kitchen, but everything is in perfect condition and as clean as can be. It was probably the most comfortable bed we slept in in Iceland. We would be happy to stay there again.

The property was clean and perfectly ready for us. A real mood setter! The property, all four cabins appear to be brand new. The horses are right there and just a few steps out from the back sliding glass doors. No, it does not smell like horse business. We were there one night and saw the Northern Lights for over an hour. This is a great location for searching for the lights. Almost zero light pollution and no mountains to obscure the views No TV but you shouldn't need one. There is WiFi if you need to get on touch with the rest of the world. If we ever end up back in Iceland, we will be staying for at least three nights rather than just one. One is not enough. Our favorite location out of five stays.
