About this property
Finest Retreats | Tegannedd
The Grade II listed cottage is a former shooting residence of the Earl of Marlborough. The building dates back to the 1700s and has retained many of it original features but has recently undergone a thorough modernisation. The original slate floor in the kitchen and huge inglenook fireplace provide a cosy setting for a family get together in front of the wood-burning stove. The private hot tub in the enclosed garden with views out over the valley provide a great setting any time of the year.

We found the communication very good. There were a few issues we are Australian and used to shops being open Sundays. Fortunately we were pre warned about North Wales so we had done some basic. shopping tea milk etc.
as there where no provisions at all at the accom. Also when we went to fill the kettle the tap blew off! So not a great start! The house was very clean and close to the places we were visiting. We were comfortable the internet worked well. In my opinion the owner needs to say there are no provisions left at the house. As if you didn’t know arriving with no milk tea and biscuits. Would be a big disappointment

Warm and comfortable cottage in beautiful countryside
Comfortable beds, great hot tub and well equipped.
Kitchen utensils and oven and some plates were dirty. Black bin liner in toilet waste bin. Broken toilet seat. Grime around outside of shower.

Why they chose this property
The cottage is perfectly located for loads of activities - there's the slate caverns and zip world attractions only a few miles away and there are some stunning walks right from the front door. The property has recently been refurbished to a very high standard in December 2018 and the hot tub and log fires add a fantastic bonus to the house.
