The estate is located in the South West of Scotland. Its location west of Dumfries makes this property convenient and very accessible from all parts of the United Kingdom. From the major centres in Scotland such as Edinburgh and Glasgow, the driving time is around 2 hours. From south of the border, Manchester will take around 3 hours.
Just outside the beautiful and picturesque town of Newton Stewart, on the southern borders of Galloway Forest National Park the estate can be found sitting close to the River Cree.
At the end of a long and private driveway you will be presented with the entrance to the secluded grounds. Beyond the entrance yields the approach to the Castle through 22 acres of mature mixed woodland and immaculate lawns.
The main residence boasts a breathtaking traditional scottish Castle dating back to 1100AD which holds a colourful and fascinating history. The castle wings and annexes hold the accommodation were there is availability for up to 20 guests.
The grounds have perfect areas for rest and relaxation. There are quiet and beautiful walks along several private pathways. Salmon and trout fishing is also available from the Castle's private banks of the River Cree. Further more the local area boasts a selection of fantastic golf courses with the closest 18 hole course being only a 5 minute drive from the castle.
