Beyond Disappointing
I wasn’t going to rate this property initially because it is no longer on the website to be rented; however, if it ever gets put back on, people should know what to expect. The good: the outside is cute and it has potential to be a great place to stay. The house has the bones to makes it great. The bad: the photos do not reflect the actual state of the home. It is old, and wreaked of sewage the whole time we were there. When we mentioned this to the host, she insisted it was because there had not been guests in a while and we would just need to run the bathroom sinks and bidets. This did not help at all. I’m not sure if the listing mentioned having to pay for bed linens and towels for each guest, but you do. When we arrived, there were not enough linens for all of the beds we needed (even though we specified more than once exactly what our needs were). There was barely one role of toilet paper for each of the 3 bathrooms, zero paper towels, no hand soap, and no trash bags but we were expected to separate the trash. When we reached out to our host about needing these BASIC items in the home, she responded with “we rent the home. Anything guests need must be provided by the guest themselves”. I’m not sure who “cleaned” the house, as it was extremely dusty, smelled old and like smoke, and we kept finding bugs EVERYWHERE. The photos were deceiving as well. The posted photos made it look as though there were 3 bedrooms with a full/queen size bed in each; however, that is not the case. There were 2 rooms with a full/queen size bed and 2 other rooms with a single bed in each. After going back to look at the photos, I realized that the host had posted one of the bedrooms twice, from a different angle. This is not something you would notice or be able to tell from just looking at photos online. Luckily, for us, one of the twin/single beds had a trundle that we were able to use and create somewhat of a full size bed. We had 2 cars but we were really only able to park one in the front and one in the back. The gate to the front was SO slow that it made it extremely dangerous parking in the front, having to wait for it to open. This on top of the fact that the home was on a VERY narrow street, barely big enough for 2 small cars to pass one another. The back parking was down a narrow alley, also hard to park in. The wifi didn’t work 95% of the time. In short-do NOT book this place, you will be so very disappointed.

Wonderful house in such a beautiful place
Simply perfect ! Ornella and Andrea gave us a perfect welcome in their splendid house. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge, the beds are good, the garden is beautiful (even if we really haven't had time to enjoy it, it was a pleasure for the eyes) and full of beautifully singing birds. The house is part of a hamlet surrounded by fields and trees and there is a beautiful brook a few meters away :) Last but not least, the house is close to Pisa and even closer to Lucca which both worth the visit. f I ever come back to Toscana with my family or with a similar number of guests (we were eight) I definitely would try to book this house again.
