Cosy stay at Stargazy April 2022
We had a cosy stay at Stargazy in April 2022. nice cabin with modern design and nicely appointed for a family of 5, really enjoyed the open plan kitchen / dining / living area and the views out towards Chapel Porth. We had a great holiday exploring St Agnes and the north coast nearby, Chapel Porth, Porthtowan and Perranporth as well as Trellisick and the River Fal. The cabin was cosy and quiet, we settled in straight away and appreciated loads of storage in the kitchen and bedrooms. mild weather allowed us to eat out on the deck a few times although the lovely wood burning stove made it too hot!! The only issues were very small details, no welcome hamper initially (very quickly delivered after arrival - thanks!) and several bulbs not working (some easy to change with the available spares), underfloor heating set super high (was at 23-25degrees, we turned down very low - even though it was cool outdoors inside the cabin is very warm and draught-free) door latches not working, cover on key safe broken, toilet roll holders loose, towel hooks wonky. Even though the price was fairly high, overall the cabin was great, booking was simple and the little details didn't get in the way..

Great accommodation in a lovely area
This is a lovely accommodation in a wonderful area and we had a great week where we were blessed with sunny weather. The lodge is lovely, it's well equipped, the beds are comfy, the shower was great, it was peaceful and the views were stunning. The surrounding area in Chapel Porth is gorgeous as well, there’s some really amazing beaches and lovely walks nearby. The only negative is that accommodation only has a single car parking space and there’s no parking available anywhere in the nearby vincency. We were told to park on grass verges down single track roads on the way to Chapel Porth which we didn’t feel comfortable doing. There is a nearby National trust car park which is £8 a day but you can’t park there overnight. In the end we parked our other car in St Agnes and had to make a trip every morning and night through single track roads to pick it up and drop it off. Which is a shame as the accommodation is 3 bedrooms and can sleep 6 adults so you’re likely to need to come in two cars. If you fall into this category I’d look at alternative accommodation. Also there’s speed bumps on the way down to the lodge and they’re pretty aggressive, so if you have a nice car with sports suspension be very careful going over them. I’d definitely recommend staying here as it’s a perfect base to explore the area and relax at the end of the day. We had a lovely stay and we would definitely stay there again, if we could find somewhere to park the other car.

8/10 Good

Perfect location
Stargazy is perfectly located as there are many beautiful places to visit within easy reach. The lodge was comfortable, clean and contemporary with most needs catered for. There were a couple of small repair jobs that needed doing which didn’t impact our holiday but let the ‘luxury’ element of the lodge down slightly. The lodge is a perfect getaway as it feels private and has lovely far reaching views to the countryside and the sea. We would visit again.

Great modern eco house
We had a great stay at Stargazy at Mor Cliff - it is a lovely modern eco house that was clean and well presented, and the service from Cornwall Hideaways was very efficient, and the welcome basket much appreciated. The house itself is quite spacious, the kitchen is great and there is a nice terrace and communal grassy garden area with sea views. It is the last one in a row of seven and is set back slightly from the others so feels more private. St Agnes is a lovely little town only a few minutes drive away and there are some great clifftop walks and beaches nearby. My only minor criticism was it could do with some extra furniture in the lounge - there was no coffee table or proper unit for the TV equipment, router etc - only a tiny side table which was a bit odd and impractical. Also there is only parking for one car on site, so our friends that were staying with us had to park in a layby a few minutes walk away, but apart from that it was great and we would definitely return.

Excellent accommodation with views over open country
We stayed at another of the 7 properties on this site last year and we liked it so much we returned. Particularly good for those seeking privacy or social distancing during the COVID pandemic. It is a rural area, ideal for walking along the coast path. You need a car to get to town.
