Villa Arietta is a lovely secluded villa with a private pool and 3 bedrooms, surrounded by garden with local Mediterranean plants , colourful flowers and stone walls, in perfect harmony with the impressive landscape. Located on a plot of 2,500 square meters in the picturesque village of Kontogenada, is only 10 mins drive to the magnificent Petani beach and 15 mins drive to Lixouri where you can find a variety of shops and restaurants. Within a few minutes drive you can also access the popular clear waters of Xi, Lepeda, Atheras, Megas Lakos, Agia Eleni beaches.

Exterior
The pool area is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and decorated with clay pots with beautiful olive trees. The villa boasts a large veranda overlooking the valley and a bbq area complete with a charcoal grill and plenty of seating. It is perfect for families and friends and is also the ideal choice for a newlywed couple. You may spend your day by the pool, soak up some sun, and then have dinner under the stars, enjoying the soft summer breeze.

Interior
Entering the villa there is an open plan area consisting of the living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining room is furnished with an elegant wooden table with 6 chairs. The living room is flood by natural light via windows that expose the outdoors beauty and a balcony door that allows straight access to the panoramic veranda. White, brown and beige are the colors used for furniture, finishes and coatings and which give a refined atmosphere to the environment. The floor with geometric patterns at the entrance, the wooden ceiling and the vintage furniture emphasize the retro style of the villa.

A small hallway leads to a bedroom with a double bed and a unique vintage closet and to the bathroom characterized by basic lines and sober colors. The hallway also leads to the second bedroom with 2 single beds, to the third bedroom with a single bed and an antique wooden closet and to the second bathroom. The twin bedroom and the single bedroom are connected and are not separate by a door.

Wonderful!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Penelope and her family were attentive, friendly, generous and incredibly hospitable. This was by far the best vacation home rental experience I have ever had. The villa is beautiful, impeccably clean and came with everything we could possibly need during our stay. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay!

Beautiful villa in beautiful location

We stayed for a week in June with a 4-year old. It was an absolutely beautiful villa in a beautiful location. The interior and balcony is really special. There is an excellent restaurant, Sto Balconi, a short walk away and 15min drive to Lixouri, 10min to petania beach and 20min to Porto Atheras / Xi beach. We have stayed all over Kefalonia and the Paliki peninsula is our favourite area.

Traumvilla in Kontogenada

To be recommended: We had a fabulous and absolutely delightful stay at Villa Arietta!!! Penelope and her father are the friendliest, most helpful and welcoming hosts you could wish for. Villa Arietta has everything you need for a relaxing luxurious holiday: lots of verandas with great views, a wonderful swimming-pool, spacious and tastefully furnished rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and all the privacy you can wish for! If you only have one holiday, go there!

Super Villa für entspannte Ferien auf Kefalonia

Das Haus ist eine echte Empfehlung, es ist sehr schön angelegt, für jede Tageszeit gibt es einen perfekten Sitzplatz. Der Pool ist super um den Tag entspannt zu beginnen. Es gibt einen schönen BBQ-Bereich, der nachdem es zu Beginn unseres Aufenthalts untersagt war, als es wieder möglich war, schnell hergerichtet wurde. Alle zwei Tage wird der Pool gereinigt (zwischen 8 und 9, kann man also verschlafen) und der Müll entsorgt. Einmal wöchentlich wird das Haus gereinigt und Betten und Handtücher gewechselt. Das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Ort in den Bergen, mit traumhaften Blick nach Lixouri und Argostoli. Man hat sein absolut privates Reich, gleichzeitig liegt es nicht komplett einsam, der kleine Ort bietet sogar eine Taverne. Zur Begrüßung erwartete uns ein Willkommenspaket und das wichtigste was man braucht, von Gewürzen, über Milch und Eier, Wasser. Penelope hat uns die wichtigsten Sachen gezeigt und erklärt, es gibt eine Mappe mit Empfehlungen für die Umgebung. Sie ist jederzeit für Fragen und Tipps erreichbar. Für eine vier- oder fünfköpfige Familie ist es perfekt, mit den zwei Bädern und der Zimmeraufteilung. Vom Haus ist man mit dem Auto in ca. 15 Min. am Petani-Strand, unser Lieblingsstrand. Aber auch Myrthos-Beach, Xi Beach usw. oder Argostoli mit der Fähre (ein empfehlenswerter Abendausflug) sind schnell erreichbar. Nach Fiskardo fährt man eine gute Stunde, nach Sami etwa 45 Minuten. Und es gibt unzählige Buchten die man erkunden kann, natürlich die südliche Hauptinsel usw. Wir waren uns nicht sicher, ob das Haus nicht zu abgelegen ist, können im Nachhinein aber sagen, dass es für uns der optimale Ausgangspunkt war und Palliki einen großen Reiz ausübt, weil es touristisch nicht zu sehr erschlossen ist, aber alles da ist, was man braucht. Gibt es etwas zu bemängeln? Nein, wenn man etwas braucht, hilft einem Penelope sicher weiter. Mit den Wespen muss man sich arrangieren, sie sind sehr zutraulich und innerhalb von Minuten da (aber nach Sonnenuntergang verschwunden). Für das Frühstück muss man etwas planen, der nächste Bäcker ist wirklich in Lixouri (wir können den am Hauptplatz empfehlen). Aber wir möchten wiederkommen, denn dieses Haus ist für uns das perfekte Feriendomizil.
