Enjoy beautiful sunrises at this completely remodeled air-conditioned condo centrally located on the Coconut Coast of Kauai’s East Side. This oceanfront two bedroom condo is in close proximity to many activities, shopping and dining. Take romantic walks along the white sandy beach or relax on the lanai and enjoy nature’s beauty amid the gentle breezes.

This second floor unit has a king size bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms & the living area to circulate the cool ocean breezes. The kitchen is fully equipped and convenient to enjoy home cooked meals with your family. Sit back and enjoy family time in the living area or enjoy use of the flat screen TV.

The property is lushly landscaped with tropical flowers, fruit trees and peaceful gardens. Enjoy a day refreshing in the pool or enjoy swimming or snorkeling in the sparkling blue Pacific. This beautiful property has lots to enjoy. Play a game of tennis or shuffleboard, grill out at the poolside barbecue, or luxuriate in the jacuzzi or sauna.

Pono Kai is a very short walk to the center of Old Kapaa Town where you can shop for local produce, browse small shops, and dine at a variety of restaurants. Activities nearby include seasonal swimming, snorkeling, water skiing, fishing, surfing, kayaking, hiking, flight-seeing, shopping, tennis and golf. Rent a bike to enjoy a day riding along the coast on the bike path or rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board to use in the Wailua river. Activities are endless and you will be happy with all you can enjoy on your next vacation.

Beautiful view but blocked by obscure sliding door

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was fabulous. Located on the East coast both the North and South shore were a short drive away. The bike path outside our unit provided a wonderful morning walk. With an ocean front condo we were disappointed with the obscure sliding glass door. We could only enjoy the views when the slider was fully open. Unfortunately we had stromy weather on two of our days and the rains were so strong along with a hole in our porch gutter, our porch flooded and flowed into our living room. Thus we were required to keep our slider close and our beautiful ocean view was completely obscured. What a bummer!

Very deceiving advertisement of the place..

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not air conditioned, room was stinking hot when we walked in the evening, infested w/flies. Took an hour to kill them and they still kept coming in. AC was the main purpose we rented the place. I was traveling with an elderly.

Wonderful girls getaway in beautiful Kauai

Can’t beat the view!

This is a very comfortable condo with a king-sized bed in one room and two twins in another bedroom and two full bathrooms. The living room has a large comfortable couch and a rocking chair. The view from the living room and from the bedroom looks across a lawn and a bike path to the wide-open ocean. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook our meals and dish washing soap was provided. The management company for this private rental had a nice welcoming gift on the kitchen table when we entered and they made sure we knew they were available if we needed help with anything. One day we rented bikes (right on the bike path walking northbound about a half-mile) and the ride was one of my favorite days. You can ride southbound all the way to Lydgate Beach. If you are a chocolate lover, explore the possibilities at the Lydgate Farm (a car drive).

Beautiful windy ocean location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you love a beautiful ocean view and listening to the ocean and tradewinds, this is the place for you. A beautiful many-mile bike path along the east-side ocean separates you from a little-used beach that seems safer for swimming than other Kauai beaches. Listen to the wind and ocean all night in your ocean-front bedroom, and wake to the Kauai roosters. Unit needs updating, but was clean, spacious and met our needs. Unit has beach chairs and boogie boards and beach-goers can shower off sand, or pool and hot tub on property. Watch a few fishing boats leave from the river. Location, location, location says it all for us. Pono Kai in Kapaa town is a good central location for island visitors, ocean-front restaurants at Sam’s, the Oasis, Lava Lava, and Crooked Surf. Safeway groceries near by ....get a discount card. Kauai Vacation Rentals was a pleasure to deal with.
