Ideal family holiday cottage with waterfront views

Hi,
Welcome to our family holiday home! We live in the Marches, on the Welsh border where I work as an Environmental Consultant. My wife, Catherine and I love spending time at Creek Cottage because of the sailing and wonderful bird-life but our daughters far prefer paddleboarding, kayaking and jumping in from the quay. Creek Cottage is in a brilliant location for all those who love playing by the water.

The River Fal is a Special Area of Conservation with notable populations of relatively rare wading birds such as Dunlin, Greenshank and Black-necked Grebe. But it is the haunting sound of the Curlews which I love best, whose voices echo across the water. I also love the fac that there is very little light pollution at Creek Cottage and on a clear night, the stars are incredibly bright. After a hard day playing in the waves on the north coast, beach combing or catching crabs from the quay, we love to tuck up and watch the stars wheel overhead while munching home-made burgers flipped on the barbeque.

Creek Cottage is completely unique. With the public quay less than 100m from the door, our girls often vanish for hours at a time and play with other children on the quay. Point Quay is the focus of village life. At high tide it is common for handfuls of happy kids to don wetsuits and throw themselves into the sea. At the same time, kayakers and paddleboarders use it as the main launching point for exploring the many creeks and tributaries. Whether you prefer rowing across to the Pandora Inn or paddling up to Trellisik Gardens and beyond to Truro, the entire River Fal is available for exploration.

At the same time, Creek Cottage has been recently converted to a high specification holiday home with granite worktops in the kitchen and rainfall shower in the main bathroom. A smart TV provides instant access to evening films and decent Wi-Fi connection means that you can easily keep in touch with emails whilst enjoying a well earned break.
