Lovely house close to areas of natural beauty
We had a lovely stay in the River House in Little Dunkeld. The house was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed. It is situated close the the famous Birnham Oak tree with lovely river walks right on the doorstep. We would happily recommend the house and area as an ideal spot for a getaway. Thank you.

September get together
We had a great weekend get together in this spacious and well equipped house. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and we were lucky enough to have sunny days so sat out in the garden. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. Thank you Kae. We walked into town along the river and had a fantastic walk up Birnam Hill, without having to drive at all. Local shops were plentiful and interesting. We would definitely recommend and come again.

Wonderful house in a beautiful location
We had a lovely time in this gorgeous house. The amenities in the house were superb and the owner had thought of everything. Our dog really enjoyed his stay and the thoughtful extras, like dog beds and towels were great. The location is beautiful and you can easily walk into dunkeld or Birnam or just enjoy the peaceful trails by the river. We would highly recommend the River House in Birnam.

Perfect location
Clean, spacious bungalow in a perfect location. Everything you need was supplied. Some furnishings were rather old fashioned but that is personal taste. Lovely welcome pack. Easy walk along river into Dunkeld. Stayed here with husband, sisters and brothers-in-law. All of us would stay again if in the area.

Simply perfect
The owner was very friendly and timely with her communications. Instructions were clear and the property was perfectly suited for us. We were attending a wedding locally and the house is in a central spot. Near a play park for kids, it has it’s own large garden, near beautiful river and countryside walks. Local amenities are within walking distance and a great fish and chip shop, pharmacy and pubs. The house is large, clean, tidy and perfectly proportioned to enjoy socially. We wish that we were staying for longer and will certainly visit again. When we needed to communicate with the owner she was friendly, helpful and available.

Comfortable stay in a great location for all the family
Lovely bungalow, exactly as marketed, only a stones throw from Dunkeld & Birnam, which has lots of great walks and places to eat. Our dog enjoyed swimming in the river every day and the back garden was secure to let him run around too. The basket of goodies on arrival was a lovely touch. Highly recommend for a relaxing and comfortable break.

Hi, I am South Korean living in Scotland. I am married to a lovely Scottish man who is very supportive of me. I look after this property for my mother-in-law who is not able to do it for herself anymore.. We all love this house as a family holiday destination even though we only live 30 minutes away and I am sure you will find out why we love this place so much yourselves.

Why they chose this property

This house is in a small village called Birnam. You will be surprised how peaceful and quiet this place is even though it is so closed to amenities . As soon as you walk out to the back garden, you will hear all sorts of birds and lovely stream running towards river Tay which is very soothing.

What makes this property unique

The location is the charm of this house. Just 1 minute away from the house is river Tay where you can start lovely riverside walk to Dunkeld town or visit to very famously old Birnam oak. Even though you don’t do anything else apart from walking here and there, it will still give you sense of being on a lovely holiday.
