Spend your time away exploring the attractions on your doorstep, including a theatre, bowling alley and dinosaur exhibition (within 0.5 miles). If you’re an adventure seeker, jump on a boat or jet ski from the harbour. For the history geeks, Torre Abbey (1.5 miles) is 800 years old, with 7 acres of gardens to explore. Even if you visited a new nearby beach every day for a week, you still won’t get to check them all out. The best ones around are Torquay Beach (1 mile) because of how close it is, Meadfoot (1 mile) for its surf, and Maidencombe (4.5 miles) if you want somewhere secluded.
