Carbis Bay features shops, restaurants, a fish & chip takeaway, and a railway branch line. The train ride from Carbis Bay to St Ives is one of the country's most picturesque. St Ives is also a terrific day trip with plenty of galleries to explore. Hayle, a quayside town, offers family-friendly activities including golf and a wildlife sanctuary. Carbis Bay is near the Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast, which offer outdoor and watersports activities like coasteering and birdwatching.
