John is originally from South-West London and moved to Wimborne in 1990, which just about makes him local. Lin is born, bred and raised in Bournemouth and, being a local girl, knows all of the places to go (and not to go). We are both involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award and spend many weekends on the Purbeck hills and other interesting places around Dorset. We are both members of a local sailing club and when we are not walking in the beautiful Dorset countryside, we are on the water around Poole Harbour, the largest natural harbour in the Northern Hemisphere.

Dorset is an hidden gem. Many holiday makers drive through Dorset to get to the West Country. In doing so, they miss one of the most beautiful and diverse areas of England. Dorset has everything that the West Country has to offer, plus a whole lot more: - Some of the best Blue Flag beaches. - The Jurassic Coast - The Purbecks, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door .... - Castles - Steam Trains - The New Forest - Tourist attractions abound (Sea Life Centre, Monkey World, Tank Museum, Christchurch Priory, Tyneham Village and much more)
