Get away from your busy life. Nestled along Fountain creek bubbling beneath blue spruce pines this caboose is the perfect place to relax, unwind and explore. Enjoy nature overlooking the creek from your private hot tub on the deck. The caboose is located within walking distance of several secluded hiking trails and the Wines of Colorado restaurant. This caboose was purchased from the Indiana railway company after it was decommissioned in the 1950s. It has since been tastefully renovated with a full bathroom, clawfoot tub and large living area with sink, fridge and microwave. The private deck has a hot tub on it where you can relax and spend time with your favorite person.

Staying here feels like stepping into the past where history comes to life with every charming detail

We fully stock the caboose with coffee, tea, seasonings, dishes, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, towels and more. The smart TV has an active Netflix account and other streaming services available.

The living area has plenty of space to cuddle up and read a good book, eat dinner, play games, or watch a movie.

The yard on the property has plenty of space for activities and the patio by the creek is a fun common area where you can sit by the fire and listen to the water bubbling under the trees.

Cozy like a fairytale

I loved this place so much! It’s so cute and the location is perfect! The owners are so welcoming and friendly. Very dog friendly as well which is a must for me. I can’t wait to come back!

Cozy

The caboose was very cute, and cozy. Enjoyed the small touches with pictures and the claw foot tub brought me back to my childhood. We very much enjoyed the hot tub as well. Easy check in process made it easy for us to arrive when we wanted to.

Why they chose this property

Our one requirement for where we wanted to live was to have a year round creek on the property. This location allowed us to live in the mountains but still be close to friends/family

What makes this property unique

It's hard to find a place close to all the activities Colorado Springs offers but still be in the mountains with the trees/water. If that's not enough for you a previous owner had a real caboose shipped from Indiana and installed on the property
