Pleasant outdoor spaces
Loved the property and its great outdoor spaces, especially the upstairs Palapa surrounded with blooming flowers. The shared pool is very clean and inviting. It was very quiet the whole time we were there. The air conditioning and ceiling fans in each room is welcome. We ate out most meals except for breakfast, but the kitchen is a nice space. We walked everywhere day and evening and felt safe, to all the restaurants, beaches, Mercado. It is hilly in places, but taxis are everywhere and very affordable. Look into downloading the ap named WhatsApp, as that’s how Maria (the property manager) likes to communicate as well as tour guides, etc. Caitlin and Maria responded quickly to my inquiries. I’d suggest the property provide a hair dryer, as it’s a bulky item to travel with. Thank you, we would definitely return to this property and Puerto Escondido.

Beautiful quiet neighborhood
The property was really lovely. Great neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Be prepared for lots of hills. Check in was a bit chaotic as we arrived late and had to wait outside fo 25 minutes for Maria. Not a big deal we were just really tired from travelling.

Perfect location
Such a wonderful spot. Close to all beaches and restaurants. We walked everywhere! Loved the palapa and pool areas too. Ate all our meals up in the palapa and yoga there every morning. So restful and welcoming.

Great Casita for a taste of Puerto Escondido
The architecture, tile work and domed brick ceilings gave a really nice Mexican feeling. Check-in was easy, kitchen well-equipped, beds comfy, plenty of closet space, and having the shared pool was a terrific plus after a day in the heat. The roof palapa was a lovely too. Our disappointments were the inconsistency of internet availability, low water pressure and lack of good hot water.

Lovely Mexican Casita
Can’t say enough great things about this property. Loved the traditional Mexican look and feel of the property. We spent so much time in the upstairs palapa - the view is wonderful. We enjoyed the pool and getting to know the other owners. The home was clean and the AC was wonderful after being out in the heat. We loved the proximity to the beaches and restaurants- we walked everywhere. When we needed any help the property manager assisted us in getting more water and propane for the stove and hot water tank. We loved the stone pathway at the end of the street to get to the beach!

Why they chose this property

This property is built with integrity and an eye for design. The street is a quiet lane and is perfectly located for walking to beaches and restaurants. There is a beautiful stone path which makes a great morning walk to the Playa Principal where you can buy fish from boats just coming in. One trip here and Caitlin was hooked on the unspoiled coast and nice people in this part of Mexico. And, the dependable weather!
Also, this destination is perfect coupled with a trip to the cultural city of Oaxaca which is a feast for the eyes, and all senses with amazing food and art.

What makes this property unique

The palapa with the ocean view is a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail at sunset!
