Sanctuary @ Edisto River Lodge, Perfect Family River Retreat

This home is located in unspoiled wilderness on the Edisto River. There will be spiders, bugs, snakes, Bald Eagles, owls, deer, raccoon, armadillo, sturgeon jumping out of the river, and lots of other wild things roaming the area. You may even see an alligator. Do not be afraid, these creatures/animals usually stay clear while people are around. Many guests find the wildlife around them a part of the experience. If you see snakes or alligators, please DO NOT approach them. There is the chance a venomous snake could be seen in the area and its not worth getting bit, so we ask you just let them be. We keep the grounds clean and free of debris, so most animals stay away. During periods of heavy rain, the river can flood from time to time. If we feel this flooding will effect your stay we will notify you in advance if possible, we want you to have the best experience possible and rescheduling may be required but rarely.
