What a nightmare
So the issues with this property started right from the original booking. Owner contacted me and told me they needed to adjust my original booking dates to be three days later which was not a huge deal but I needed to take some extra days off of work. Since we were gone during the week my wife and I were planning on doing some working from home in the mornings. So on our way to the property I get a message that there may be some construction going on but that previous guests had not complained of any issues. Well either they got lucky or don’t mind Jack hammering right outside your window. It was so intense it shook the property. This was happening during multiple times throughout the week starting around 7am. Then to add another layer of horror the neighbor on the other side of the door would blast music at 5am that was so clear I felt like I was in the room listening to it. Just for an added bonus the AC was leaking water so overall this was the worst accommodations I have ever had while using VRBO. We brought these issues to the owner the very first day we were staying but were unaware that we should have contacted VRBO about change our stay. They offered a refund but we didn’t know where to go so we opted to try and make it work. After the 4th straight day of problems we decided to change our flight 3 days early which was another $600 out of pocket and lost out on our rental car which was prepaid and non refundable. Overall an incredibly unfortunate experience
