This is a townhouse in Gainey Ranch, a safe and secure gated community wonderfully located in the heart of Scottsdale. It's close to great eating, drinking, shopping and entertainment. It has master suite, second bedroom and full bathroom and a loft with a convertible sofa and full bathroom. The floorplan is very open and full of great light. Included is a membership to the Estate Club; Gainey's community and fitness center. This is a full fitness center with a full complement of workout equipment (treadmills, exercise bikes and rowing machines), weight room, floor exercise area (including access to on-demand workout instruction), lighted tennis courts and pickleball courts and an Olympic size swimming pool .

The property is located in a exceptional area of Scottsdale. The Gainey Village shopping center is located just across the street, leaving you walking distance to a variety of popular restaurants as well as great shopping. There is a Sprouts Market located in the Village as well. You are just a few minutes north of Old Town Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Fashion Square (the foremost shopping mall in Phoenix) for more dining, shopping and entertainment. Then there is the Keirland Commons and Scottsale Quarter just minutes north of the property giving you addtional places for shopping and dining. Also nearby, for your entertainment, are numerous golf courses, Talking Stick Resort (casino, shows, golfing) Top Golf, Scottsdale Bike Path ( a wonderful and scenic 15 mile trail from Scottdale to Tempe), Odysea Aquarium, iFly (indoor skydiving) and many other attractions. The Scottdale Hyatt resort is right next door to the property. Discounts are available for the spa, dining and drinking (they have nightly entertainment in the in-door/outdoor lounge from many of the top local musicians in the Valley. Wonderful property and host

Everything was smooth and the host was helpful and attentive. The property was quiet, peaceful, well decorated and well stocked. The kitchen had everything you might need including spices, condiments, ziplocs and even random tools like a grapefruit knife :-) The water cooler was a nice touch that made hot and cold beverages easy. Gainey Ranch itself is also a delight. The work out, tennis and pickleball facilities are top-notch and the app makes it easy to get reservations. There are countless dinner options with all within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!

Great location - everything you need is less than 10 minutes away. Much is even walkable. Restaurants / groceries / coffee shops / walking & bike path. Great secure neighborhood ‘ Comfy couches & beds. Pool & hot tub just steps away!! A Winner !!!

Property was nice and clean and well maintained. The only downsides were: (1) if you have a long car or pickup truck, it might not fit in the garage. Our F150 would not fit, even diagonally, so it had to be left diagonally on the driveway. (2) the hot water supply barely supplied hot water for two people to take showers in the morning. (3) When we arrived we found out for the first time that we were not allowed to wear shoes in the house. This house rule was written in bold letters at the top of Page 4 of the property rules found on the kitchen countertop, as well as printed on the door mat just inside the garage entry door on the garage entry level from the garage into the unit. This made it difficult for us to take off or put on our shoes every time we went into and out of the unit during our stay, as well as carrying our luggage and boxes up and down the relatively steep and narrow stairway from the garage level to the living area of the unit. (4) The Estate Club is more than a mile from the unit and the single television in the L-shaped fitness area is completely out of view from anyone using the treadmills or exercise bicycles. Instead, it is viewable only from the area which contains mostly a multitude of very nice weight machines which seem to work out every conceivable muscle group on the human body. It would be nice to install another television in the endurance exercise section of the fitness area where people using the treadmills or bikes benefit. Downside

Location is Spectacular

Walking distance to restaurants, banks, grocery. A1 Estate Club with excellent facilities and organized tennis and pickleball play. Home is well stocked and spacious with a bonus cappuccino maker and excellent Weber BBQ. Gated, friendly neighborhood.

My name is Terry and the end of last year was very eventful for me. I retired from a 40+ year career in Corporate Treasury in November and got engaged in December! I've now moved in with my fiance and am renting out my house. I moved to AZ in 2011 from CA where I was born and raised. My passion in life is sailing and, while liiving in a desert, managed to sail frequently in San Diego over the summer and have been taking sailing vacations in the Caribbean for the past 30 years. I have flags hanging from the loft from every country that I've sailed in the Caribbean. When I can't sail I'm very active enjoying golf, tennis and biking. I'd be moe that happy to let you know of things to do in the Valley!

Why they chose this property

This is an upscale gated community in a beautiful area in Scottsdale. I bought it because I loved the property and the amenities as well as being located in an ideal location. It is very close to anything you'd want to do. The Gainey Villlage is just acros the street with numerous restaurants and shopping as well as a Sprouts Market. There is excellent dining, shopping and entertainment at Scottsdale Fashion Square, Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter, just minutes away, as well as entertainment and dining at Taling Stick Resort. There are four public golf courses in the immediate area asurrounding the property and the Scottsdale Bike Path is just a few minutes away by bike. There are two bikes in the garage for your use as well.
