About the host
Hosted by Josh and Cara Russell
We are so excited to have the opportunity to escape to Folly Beach and share this amazing experience with others! Charleston, South Carolina is very special to us because it’s where our story began! We both moved there after college in 2000 to start our careers. Josh and I met in 2001 and both shared a love for Charleston. We married in 2003 and had our first child, Jake at East Cooper Hospital in 2006. We loved the beach, the people, and the restaurants, all of it! We sadly left Charleston in 2007 and Josh’s career has had on the move ever since. We have been married for 16 years and now have two boys; Jake 13 and Luke 10. Both boys love the ocean and their visits to Charleston. When we visit, it always feels like home! We currently live in Memphis, Tennessee, and are so excited to be escaping to Folly Beach more often to enjoy the beach and see old friends. We are excited to share our love of Charleston with other families! We consider the Folly Beach Escape our second home and look forward to sharing it with you!
