Quiet, clean, cozy resort on Gull Lake

We loved cabin 8, it was set apart from the other cabins along the canal. It was so private and quiet AND we got to see TONS of wildlife. Staff we so nice and they did a GREAT job keeping up the resort. Would definitely consider staying again.

We were expecting something more modern.

We were not expecting to need our own towels, so this created a need to spend time and money shopping for these. Also, other places we have booked through VRBO allowed for a touch less check in and not time specific. Host did leave a map; however, in the dark we had to use cellphone flashlight to find our way. Better place for family cabin experience.

Samara Point Resort Getaway

If you like camping but not in a tent this is the place for you. Somewhat crowded for a group of seven. Disappointments were the lack of air flow through the Channel House at night and the fitted sheets didn't stay on the mattresses.
