Summary:
Camp GoodNow is located on a bridge-less barrier island. Leave your car and cares at the marina because you can only access the home by water taxi or personal boat. Enjoy the best of island living...sitting directly on the gulf, with fabulous views, in the comfort and luxury of a brand new home. The home also affords you a private dune walk directly to the beach and the entire downstairs area is decked. It is a perfect spot for enjoying the breezes from the Gulf in a private and serene setting.
The Space:
This stunning, brand new gulf front home has been whimsically named Camp GoodNow by the owners....but it is far from a "camp"! It combines brand new features and amenities with a touch of rustic charm....like a fabulous open kitchen with a farmhouse sink, exposed brick walls and black iron fixtures. A soaring high ceiling allows light to flood into the living area. The entrance to the master suite is a beautiful barn door and the house features beautiful natural pine doors throughout. The living area features French doors that open to the front porch and its fabulous views of the Gulf of Mexico.
This beachfront home also includes access to a slip at Dock 51. This is a community dock and boat size is limited to 24ft. The dock is just a short, five-minute walk from the beach to the bay side of the island,
The home features three bedrooms and three full baths and sleeps six comfortably. There is a downstairs bedroom for those who prefer not to climb stairs....and a full bath just across the hall. There is also a full laundry room on the main floor.
Upstairs, the master suite sits at the front of the house overlooking the Gulf....a private en suite bath features a large walk-in shower, large vanity and dramatic tile floors. The master suite also has French doors opening to a private gulf-front balcony with fabulous views of our dramatic LGI sunsets!
The third bedroom also has an en-suite bath with shower and features a queen bed.
Fishing is great off the dock or right off the beach. We can also help you arrange fishing charters, trips to Cabbage Key or shelling excursions.

The Neighborhood:
The entire cottage is yours to enjoy, as well as 7 miles of pristine Gulf of Mexico beach. There is also access to a dock slip if you choose to rent a boat. There are no stores or restaurants on the island. There is a fabulous wood fired pizza delivery option and grocery delivery service. We also have an on island guest services manager f you need anything during your stay.
Getting Around:
The water taxi runs daily on demand, so getting back to the mainland is relatively easy, but most people choose to stay on the island and enjoy the peace and privacy. The water taxi runs daily during daylight hours, roughly 8 to 5, and the fare averages $20 minimum for 2 people with an additional $10 per person. The taxi will run after dark but there is a surcharge for runs after dark. Please note that we do have 911 service on the island as well as paramedics on the island if you are concerned about emergency medical treatment.
Other Things to Note:
Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on Little Gasparilla Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, Little Gasparilla is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitos, rust, power outages and other minor inconveniences. If you are expecting resort amenities and services, the island might not be for you.
Interaction with Guests:
We have a home on the island and also nearby on the mainland. We value your privacy highly and will not intrude, but we can get to the island fairly quickly if you have issues. We also have an on-island housekeeper and handyman for emergency repairs.
