Nice 2 bedroom cabin only 10' from the lake front. No shared frontage with our location as you will enjoy a private dock with two fire pits and a great exposure for beautiful sunsets. Fishing is great with muskies, northern pike, walleye, crappie, perch, and bluegills. The cabin is fully stocked with the essentials you need as well as Dish Network TV service and internet service. For the ice fisherman or snowmobiler, the cabin is right at the water's edge making access easy.

Our cabin has a pretty interesting history. The property goes back a long time but its first dance with history was during the prohibition era. The property at the time was owned by the Sbarbaro family, a family noted for being Chicago bootleggers and undertakers. They were actually the undertakers to the Chicago mob with famous clients Dean O'Banion, Vincent "Schemer" Drucci, Hymie Weiss, and Mike Merlo. The property was eventually sold and became part of Duke and Lu's Resort. Its most famous guest was Wisconsin Senator Joe McCarthy, the originator of the "red scare" as he sought to identify post WW2 communist infiltrators.

For the property itself, the cabin was at one time a tool shed for the Sbarbaros before being upgraded where it became the lakeside "honeymoon cabin." It is located right on the lake with easy access to Vilas County snowmobile trails which cross the middle of Lac Vieux Desert.

Included is access to a cabin-side fire pit with a cooking grate, a larger lakeside fire pit, and a dock. The dock is removed for the winter after the first weekend in November.
