About this property

1920s style weatherboard cottage, just 20mins drive to Mt Ruapehu Ski fields, 5mins to National Park Restaurants & Cafes. The bach is located alongside the spiral trainline. Raurimu is known for the spiral train line that runs through it and up to the central plateau. There is a vast amount of outdoor activities in this beautiful region from mountain biking the 42 traverse to an extensive amount of walks ranging from 5min to several days including the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
Tongariro cottage is our much loved family bach clocking up over 100 years of history we have collections on the walls of memorabilia from days gone by.
Special conditions:
Price based on 4 person stay additional person $20 per person per night,
two night minimum stay. "Smoking is allowed outside only"
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: CLEAN the house leaving it tidy for the next guests. This cottage is not serviced. LINEN IS NOT PROVIDED

Unique and comfortable cottage

Great place with lots of character. Perfect to base ourselves and drive short distance to National Park for shuttle to Whakapapa skiing. Comfy couches to curl up on in front of fire. Night trains obvious
