About this property

A-Frame Cabin near Yosemite / Bass Lake TheAlphabetAndTheHabitat

All you TINY house enthusiasts, A-FRAME enthusiasts welcome to our tinyish A-Frame. It's a vintage tiny timber A-Frame cabin with encastre beams and truss design. Come experience the graceful aging and maturing of knotty pine wood like old wine. The wood is absolutely dramatic and has been meticulously maintained, preserved and cared for over the years. The effect of light on wood and the changes it goes through out the day is pure poetry. It will inspire and energize you.

Surround yourself with Ponderosa pines, Oak, and Manzanita trees while indulging in the comforts of home. Stay inside to enjoy the unique architecture while relaxing with a book or explore the wonders of nature just outside the front door. Our cabin is fixed up with all the modern amenities needed for a getaway in the woods. Although it's a vintage tiny house, our cabin features full size new kitchen appliances, a big rustic new couch with an in-built comfy queen bed, and a fully remodeled bathroom all while retaining its original charm.

THE ALPHABET AND THE HABITAT WAS BUILT IN 1965 and is settled on a 1/2 acre lot in a quiet and secluded neighborhood with a forest view and mountains in the distance. It's a paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers. Use any of the 3 decks surrounding the cabin and you will be rewarded with a dozen of different species of birds. Great for star gazing as well.

Some quick old home facts. The kitchen is small but perfectly capable of cooking any kind of meal, there is no dishwasher, and there is only one bathroom in the cabin. The loft queen bed(second bedroom, no door) is perfect to rest up and relax and will make you feel like living in a tree house. The cabin also has a bedroom with an expansive king size bed. Washer/Dryer available for your comfort.
By far the best feature of our cabin is the bar. Make it a coffee bar during the day and turn into your drinks bar at dusk. Hone your skills as a bartender or role play and be colorful as possible. Oh yea! and on top of this we have Yosemite and Bass lake in the backyard!

Cabin is located 22 miles from Yosemite National Park south gate and 2 minutes from Bass Lake, the opportunity for adventure is limitless. 8 minutes to Oakhurst town center.

Comfortable and clean
This property exceeded our expectations! We were worried about it being too small for three adults but it actually felt bigger than the advertised square footage. A definite plus was the three outside sitting areas! The surrounding area was very quiet and only a short drive to town or trails. We found the queen bed to be really comfortable!! Communication was excellent and we always received a response quickly! If we come back to the area again this is the first place we will look at to stay.

Perfect for a Yosemite Getaway
This cabin in perfect for a couple or small family looking to explore Yosemite and the surrounding area. The location has easy access to the park and the Sierra National Forest, and is an easy 5-minutes drive from swimming and boating at Bass Lake. The property is adorable and incredibly organized with everything you need for a wonderful and relaxing time. Honestly one of the best rental spots I've ever visited! We hope to make it back!
