Remodeled and Top Rated Snowcreek #237 By Owner Mountain Views 2 Bed + Loft/2 Ba

This Snowcreek home has amazing sit-down living room views of Mammoth Mountain and the Sherwin mountain range, and its super quiet West-facing location is right next to Mammoth Meadow, Mammoth Creek, Snowcreek ponds and with the solitude and quiet that you expect accompanies a mountain location. This home is located appropriately on a street named Solitude. The solitude, views and the floorplan are what we love most about this home, it truly feels like a remote mountain home yet it is still conveniently located close to town and to the ski area (.7 mile to Eagle Lodge). The complex is located on the free Red Line shuttle to town, The Village and Mammoth Mountain (the stop is located at 4711 Snowcreek Rd.).

Our home is very clean, smoke-free and shoe-free! (Please help us keep it that way! Shoes are confined to the plank flooring in the entry, downstairs mud room, laundry room and main hall bathroom. If that doesn't work for you, meaning a home with clean carpeting, please don't stay here.)

The most recent renovations were completed in 2022 and features a new Montana stone fireplace and custom log mantel with a Castile pellet stove and LED lighting, new rustic luxury vinyl plank floors in wet areas, new paint throughout, new carpeting, new stainless steel appliances, new door hardware, keyless entry, new furnishings and brand new bath showers. The floor plan is a townhome style, no one is above or below us. There are two bedrooms plus a sleeping loft accessible by a real staircase, two full bathrooms on the lower level, and full size laundry inside the home. It is three levels total with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus laundry and small deck off the primary bedroom on the ground level. The second level is the living room, dining area, kitchen with counter seating and a small cozy adjacent nook for reading and coffee. The living room provides a 65 inch 4k flat panel television with Roku, basic cable & streaming capability (Netflix, Hulu, Prime etc.), screen mirroring, and a Vizio sound bar with Bluetooth and wireless sub-woofer, and seating for all across two sofas and a rocker recliner(the best seat in the house!). We have a cocktail video game table featuring Pac Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong with up to 60, 80's games. The dining area offers a large table with 5 chairs and bench seating on one side for up to 8. Nearby our console table is stocked with a small collection of board games, playing cards and poker chips. We also have Wi-Fi internet with up to 100 Mbps download speed provided by Optimum. Off the living room is a balcony with two Adirondack chairs and an available small two burner BBQ (please let me know if you will be using the BBQ, I have some additional instructions). The third level is a sleeping sleeping loft above the dining area and open to the living area and kitchen below, and provides guests a Queen bed and two Twin beds. The bathrooms are located on the ground level (the only inconvenience of this floorplan). One full bath is an ensuite in the primary bedroom and has a bathtub/shower combination. The second hallway bath is shared between your guests in bedroom 2 and the sleeping loft.
The kitchen offers ample counter space, is open to the living area and is well-stocked and provides updated stainless steel appliances. Other small appliances include a Kuerig K-cup coffee system (bring your own K-cups, or it is equipped with a My K-pod reusable filter you can use with your ground coffee), a 4 slot toaster, toaster oven, blender and electric tea kettle.
This privately-owned home sleeps up to 8 people comfortably. The primary bedroom has a King Bed, en-suite bath, a 55 inch Sharp Smart TV with basic cable, streaming and screen mirroring capabilities, and a sliding door opening to a small deck with Adirondack style chairs overlooking the lush common area lawn and view of Mammoth Mountain.
This home is so close to the ponds (there is a pond within view of our balcony obstructed partially by Aspen trees) that you can hear the ducks quacking and frogs croaking. Bedroom #2 has a Queen bed, a 38 inch Smart TV with basic cable and streaming services. The loft provides sleeping for up to four people, in two Twin beds and a Queen bed.
The buildings and grounds offer the most spacious and well maintained, lush, green and beautiful grounds in all of Mammoth in the summer and is next to our HOA-owned, Mammoth Meadow. The spa & sauna* are semi-private HOA amenities and located next to our building, past #240, the North end of our building (very close walk in winter!). Nearby in the resort area and across the meadow from our home is the Snowcreek Athletic Club and Snowcreek Golf Course (9 holes) and driving range which are open to the public for a daily fee (guest access is not included with our vacation rental, contact those facilities directly for current daily usage fees). If you choose to access The Snowcreek Athletic Club, it offers tennis, pickleball, swimming pool (indoor and outdoor), fitness center, fitness classes, indoor basketball and volleyball gym, trampoline club, and dining at the Snowcreek Bistro. Also nearby is the 18 hole Sierra Star Golf Club (.4 miles), Mammoth Mountain, the Mammoth Lakes Basin, Devil's Postpile, Rainbow Falls and Red's Meadow. 30-45 minutes North of Mammoth is June Lake, Mono Lake and Bodie State Park (old mining town). The East gate of Yosemite National Park** is 45 minutes away. I also recommend a summer day trip to Yosemite Valley (1.5-2 hour drive) via CA State Hwy 120. There is so much to do here!

Great condo!
We come up to Mammoth three or four times a year and I have to say this is one of my favorite rentals. The appliances were up to date, great carpet, and comfy beds. If you rent in Mammoth often, you know these things are hard to come by. It was a NICE, comfy place. Great lay out for our family and it was good value. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mammoth Lakes! We did so many varied and beautiful hikes in the area, and the condo was such a refreshing place to come back to at night to rest up for the next day's activities. The home is VERY clean, and the kitchen has so many appliances for whatever you want to cook. Comfortable bed and couches/recliner with a pretty view of the mountains in a charming and quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

I've been visiting and exploring Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra since 1978 and frequently visit year round with my wife, children and love visiting the many friends I've made in Mammoth. If you want to know anything about the area I am happy to offer my suggestions. I mostly ski, hike, play golf, and bike (road, mountain and e-bike).

Why they chose this property

We chose this home for its the location next to the meadow and Mammoth creek, its views and its quiet location. My wife and I have been visiting Mammoth since we were children in the 70's. We raised our kids with every vacation in Mammoth. It is a very special place for our family and a legacy that is now three generations strong. Snowcreek is a very special and unique development, and our phase is the lowest density project in Mammoth and the only with vast lawn areas, it is one of a kind. The Snowcreek master plan includes homes, the meadow preserve, Mammoth creek, golf course, athletic club, affordable housing, church and at one time had plans for its own ski resort in the Sherwin range and a gondola from Snowcreek to Mammoth Mountain.

What makes this property unique

We chose this home for the quiet, the views, the location next to the meadow. Phase II is unique, it is the largest phase, the lowest density project in Snowcreek, possibly in all of Mammoth Lakes. And not only is it next to the meadow with amazing views, it is the only phase with ponds and streams running through the common areas.
