I was supposed to stay at this property for 4 nights with my two children, husband, and mother. On the day of our arrival, Marty sent me a message that there were three small holes in the ceiling of the secondary bathroom (inside the smaller bedroom). There was a leak from the unit above, but he fixed it. He was going to fix the holes between guests, but it's all good. Until it wasn't. During the middle of the night on our second night, water began pouring out of the ceiling from the unit above us. The water spread into the bedroom where my husband and 6 year old child were sleeping. Water flooded the bathroom. Water from above destroyed our toiletries (toothbrushes, leather toiletry bags, expensive makeup, etc.). The ceiling in the bathroom was clearly soaked. I don't know how far the ceiling was wet into the bedroom. It was NOT safe to stay in this room. In fact, the bathroom was completely NOT usable as water was dripping through the ceiling at the entry. We were concerned wet drywall would fall from the ceiling and potentially injure someone. In the middle of the night, we knew it was not safe to stay there, so we had to call hotels to see where we could get two rooms and move. Marty does not see a problem with the "fix" and refuses to refund any money. VRBO is still investigating after 5 days. I finally had to dispute with my credit card company. I gave Marty ample time to make the situation right prior to leaving a one star review. Worst VRBO experience ever.
