Charmingly situated in the heart of downtown Northeast Harbor and mere minutes from Acadia National Park, this well-appointed suite will provide you with wonderful access to the town's shops and restaurants, as well as Acadia's gorgeous trails and lakes, while still offering the serene seclusion you desire. This suite is one of The Colonel's Suites, located just above Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery in quaint downtown Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island. You can easily walk to the harbor if you follow Main Street, Sea Street, and Harbor Drive, with a number of charming shops and restaurants located in the surrounding blocks. Best of all, the boundary of Acadia National Park is only one mile north, so you can quickly reach such landmarks as Jordan Pond, Bubble Pond, and Eagle Lake.

The living space is simple and comfortable, bringing together the living room, a small dining space, and a kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker to enjoy each morning. There are air-conditioners beneath the windows to use in the peak of summer, WiFi throughout the suite to keep you comfortable and connected, and a pair of cable TVs for your at-home entertainment - one in the living room and another in the bedroom.

Small town feels
My family of four stayed for 2 nights. You have to park down the street and have about 20 stairs to climb to the hallway. Once in the room, the small kitchenette (no stove for oven) awaits, with a table for two. One sofa bed and one chair with tables and tv. The bathroom is to the left, towels for 4, small travel bottles for the shower. We truly appreciated the liquid s Hand soap in the bathroom!! The bathroom vent did not work, so the bathroom gets pretty steamy. The bedroom across the hall has a nice long bed, dresser, nightstands, and large closet. A portable/roll away twin bed in the closet was great for us! One kid on the sofa bed, one on the twin, parents in the king. You need quarters for the paid laundry, but there were laundry pods for use! Nice gesture. The ice maker was broke, and the mini fridge has no ice. The bakery/restaurant below was great! Old fashioned donuts for days!!! We would definitely stay again if we are in the area. I’ve already recommended this unit 3 to several friends for their upcoming trips! There was a note at checkout to take out trash and start bedding laundry if possible. Another note, after visiting Bar Harbor side, we definitely prefer staying in this side! Quiet and small town, perfect for relaxation with no hustle and bustle.

Amazing experience
This property was in the perfect location to the national park. Very close to restaurants and park entrances/ attractions. This property is located above an amazing restaurant which we frequented. We loved getting coffee and the amazing pastries at colonial's every morning before our hikes! The property was very clean when we arrived. The laundry on site was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Perfect location close to shops, restaurants and the national park. Very clean and easy to access. Located above an amazing restaurant (colonel’s) which we frequented after long days of hiking/ exploring the park. On-site laundry was an added bonus. The kids loved the fresh pastries and the adults loved the coffee from colonel’s before long days at the NP. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks!

Call in Acadia
We had a wonderful stay here for our first visit to Maine! The Northeast Harbor quiet side of the island was better than I imagined! The property was super clean, which I appreciated. it was a 20min drive to Acadia. Before hiking, we had breakfast downstairs at the Colonel’s Restaurant & Bakery which was delicious! The place has a Keurig coffee maker which was nice, so we picked up some K cups in Bar Harbor. The Nor’Easter Restaurant was less than a 5min walk and we had a delicious dinner!! Would definitely recommend!

Northeast Harbor Maine
Beautiful stay and great location. Having the Bakery, Bar and Restaurant on the street level was very handy after a long day of sight seeing. Having the washer and dryer available on the same floor was also very handy
