About this property

Quiet and Beautiful Country Living. Wi-Fi is throughout the Cabin. Huge, covered parking. Smells and noises of country life. You can hear the coyotes and occasional dogs barking at night (I have several dogs). You are welcome to wander the property. I have ducks, and chickens. Fresh eggs are always available. Amenities included are; air conditioning/heating, washer/dryer combo, full kitchen, shower, outdoor patio w/grill, electric indoor fireplace, 50" tv, DVD player, books, board games and more.
We do have a corral for Horses. We provide a waterer. Contact me for more information.

Quiet & comfy

Being hunters from the south ….we were unfamiliar with the area for our “one night stay” We didnt want a motel due to having to empty our truck of ALL our luggage due to theft! No worries at this little cottage Maddie & Max would have alerted the neighborhood…everything was safe & sound …:)

Visiting home

The property was beautiful and quiet. It provided the perfect location for day trips to show my wife the state. Max and Maddie made our mornings even more memorable. This is perhaps the best vacation we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for helping us create memories that will last our lifetime.

Quiet get away

Kind hosts, comfortable stay

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable. The night stars were beautiful. We loved that the dogs would greet us every morning as soon as we opened the door. The eggs were delicious, and the hosts were wonderful. If you're looking for a rustic but comfortable place to get away. This is it. My son is already asking when we can go back! Thank you!

Close to birding area

The carport was nice to have in a New Mexico setting. The house was very clean and spacious. We went to go birding and the location worked well for us

Remote dog friendly cabin

Clean and dog friendly. Nice remote location for some mental decompression. Close enough to Socorro if you need something. Wifi was great, bandwidth might be a little low for streaming, but to be expected if you're further out of town. Close to a lot of outdoor spaces to go visit and explore. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing...I mean AMAZING SUNRISE here

I have never had the experience of being IN a sunrise or sunset until we stayed here. It was one of the most amazing things. We enjoyed the cows, dogs and rural setting...very quiet. We also loved being able to take our pets along with us.

We liked the spacious rooms and they were spotless. Washer& dryer were a great convenience and worked very well. Additional blankets were needed on the cold night we stayed. We couldn’t adjust to abandoned buildings, vehicles and trailers in Mountainair and around the cabin.

Comfortable and safe

Our stay was short. We felt comfortable and safe. The property was clean,cute, and had everything you needed. Also we loved the fresh eggs provided by Carol. Carol was a wonderful host. Would stay there again .

Out of the way, nice stay.

We enjoyed staying here and using it as a base to explore central NM. The host took care to ensure guests have everything needed to be comfortable. While convenient to several interesting sites, it is not a destination in itself.

Dog friendly out of town getaway stay

Definitely off the beaten path. Nice little place to stay with your furry friends. All the amenities were nice to have. Loved that we had fresh eggs to use.

Great Cabin

Very clean, comfortable stay. It's super-nice to have a full kitchen when you're traveling. Thanks for all the nice little amenities too, coffee, pretzels, eggs. Very enjoyable.

Great little place for our stay

The property is great for the area, the house had everything we needed and then some. It was what we needed when we were in town hunting and I will certainly stay again if I am back in the area. It is much nicer than staying in a hotel and offers more space and privacy. I highly recommend.

Great place off the beaten path

The couple who own this place are incredible! Very friendly and helpful. We like that this place is in a semi remote location, but still close to Socorro. There are two cows on the property along with chickens. So cool! The place was very clean. Beautiful views of the mountains! If you’re used to staying at top of the line resorts, this place may not be for you. But it was perfect for us!

Friendly owners. Property has a few shortcomings.

Very friendly owners. Responded quickly to any questions I had. Check-in was painless. The property fit our needs: close to the Trinity monument, the Very Large Array, and Pie Town. You should be aware of a few things that may or may not be important to you. The second bedroom is accessed through the first bedroom. The bathroom shower is very small and may be an issue if you're a large person. Although I'm normal size, I found it difficult to bend over to wash my feet. The internet service is very slow (KB range). Anything requiring streaming is not possible. For television junkies, the local cable TV service is nearly unusable. The is no Guide showing either network or program for any channel. Just a list of channels that you must scroll slowly to see what's on. Lastly, one of my pet peeves: no tissues anywhere. I hate using toilet paper to blow my nose or wipe off my face. Again, this property worked for me and my son-in-law. We enjoyed the Socorro area.

Hi from New Mexico!! My name is Carol Caldwell. I am a wife, Mom, Grandma, and a Great Grandma. I am the owner/founder of K and C Naturals. My husband and I bought our property around 1987. Family is extremely important to us. We are fortunate to have our kids and their families living next to us. The cabin was built for my granddaughter and her family. They had to move for work so now we wanted to share our slice of heaven with others.
