I arrived on time and the owner was there to meet us , when we got into the house it was 91° , owner says that the AC was just turned on and that it would take about 2 hours to cool down, very unprofessional, the house should be cool when guests arrive, but no problem. We said ok and decided to go out for a few hours. We arrived back in the home 4 hours later and it was still unbearable. I contacted the owner and she says it’s probably where we are from and that we are not used to Florida weather. I demanded she came down or we would leave. We waited in my vehicle with the ac on for an hour until she got there. She finally goes in and says wow it is hot! She then says open the windows for now , there’s nothing she can really do. I MYSELF went walking around the property to see if I could fix the problem. I see the a/c unit was off. I told her about it and it was turned on. AC was then working from the first night. The second day I am leaving and she was on the property by the pool and in the garage , she then says to me that I had a party there. I did not and I told her this. She then claims I smoked inside the house, That also never happened. Basically looking to squeeze any extra money she can out of you. The third day now I recive a notification from VRBO saying that I need to pay extra money on top the the full balance I already paid! I contacted her about it and she says it’s for the extra guests that are staying there, THERE WERE NO EXTRA GUESTS STAYING ON THE PROPERTY. She says because there was more than one vehicle there that it must be more people. NOT TRUE we each have our vehicles so we don’t have to wait on each other. We have different things we need to do. Now Sunday, the 4th night I am at my family’s house and I get a message from her saying I need to get my things and be out of the house in one hour or the sheriff will come kick us out. We all run back to the house fearing all our passports and suitcases would be in jeopardy , we get there pack everything we bought all the groceries and clothes that we have and make our way out of the house. I contacted vrbo that night to speak to someone but the service was horrible. Since that 4th night we each had to make arrangements to sleep in other places. What a NIGHTMARE this trip has been. Our entire vacation ruined by this lady. This was my first time using VRBO and I’m not sure if it’s VRBO or this lady but I’m certainly considering looking at other options when I book another stay.
