THE GOOD: Our group of 20 had ample space and we enjoyed ourselves. The beach was fantastic, and we had plenty of space to spread out. This home is situated relatively far away from public beach access and hotels where we saw the most crowding. When we needed AC maintenance (90 degrees in the third floor bedrooms), due to lack of response from Vacasa, we figured out who owned the property and contacted him and he was very responsive. As other reviewers suggested, we brought foosballs and special sand for the shuffleboard table; we left them so future guests could enjoy the indoor games. The pool table was good as someone had leveled it with pieces of cardboard. The hot tub and pool were well maintained and worked well. The 2 gas grills worked well and had propane. We had plenty of towels and the beds were all nicely made.
THE BAD: The check-in process was an issue as the house has clearly been a popular destination; communicating the pre-existing conditions was time consuming and burdensome. There are some nagging maintenance issues that need attention: 1. There is an unconnected stair step (tread) on the outside stairs- completely loose- dangerous. 2. Dangerous sharp points on the glass table top covers on the main dining table, one section completely missing. 3. The gate to the beach walkway was a challenge each time we needed to open it, the latch was loose and uncooperative.
THE UGLY: Total lack of response from Vacasa when AC went out. HORRIBLE!! There's more
