Elden House provides the very BEST of all Flagstaff has to offer! 2450 SF, with many living and dining spaces inside and out, just a two-minute walk to endless trails for hiking, biking, running, rock climbing, snow shoeing, etc., convenient access to the house, close to Downtown, NAU, Snowbowl, The Grand Canyon and all area attractions.
The spacious and charming house boasts 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, two living spaces, play room, multiple outdoor spaces for lounging, eating, and playing, a more private downstairs bed, bath, living space, and kitchenette with private access from the beautiful back yard, 2-car garage, and cozy brick fireplace. Very family friendly with board games, toys, pack & play, kids seating, etc., while still being well appointed for an all-adult getaway.
Enjoy grilling on the deck off the kitchen, lunch on the main floor deck, dining on the charmingly lighted patio, lounging in the hammock and lower patio, and the towering view of Mt. Elden from the front of the house.
Our family loves staying here, so we tried to furnish it just how we love to enjoy it and hope you appreciate the comfortable beds, ceiling fans throughout (house does not have Air Conditioning), cozy bedding and towels, well equipped kitchen including quality coffee and tea available with burr grinder, all the dishes, glass, and cookware you could need, and extras like sleds and snowshoes!
The house is family friendly, however it is NOT baby/kid proof in that we don't have locking cabinets, gates at all stairs, etc. Full adult supervision is recommended at all times. We frequently stay with our very young children, however they are supervised at all times.
There are a lot of stairs and steps throughout the house, including stairs to access the house (down or up). Please keep this in mind if accessibility is a concern.
I love how easy it is to get to this house and to get anywhere in town, while being able to bypass the main drag past NAU and downtown. The city is very bicycle friendly as well with 56 miles in the Flagstaff Urban Trail System (FUTS).
There is plenty of parking onsite, front door is operated via WiFi keypad (no keys to worry about!), and the house is easy to control overall.
