About this property

Quiet and cozy cabin, minutes to trailheads and Bellingham.

Disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in our cabin hideaway. Our cabin is situated amongst the top of the treeline, with not another house in sight from any windows! Enjoy sitting on the deck, drinking your morning coffee, while listening to the birds sing all around you.

Our home is a short and scenic drive to Lake Whatcom, to enjoy days sitting by the water. Hiking more your thing? The Stimpson Family Nature Preserve trailhead is a quick 2 minute walk from the home! You can often hear owls in the preserve talking to one another at night!

The home was designed with communal, family time in thought. Cozy blankets, a wood burning fireplace (we provide the wood!), a fully stocked kitchen, as well as board games and a flat screen tv in the living room- all available for you to enjoy throughout your stay!

Our three bedroom, two full bathroom cabin is perfect for small groups, couples, or families traveling with children. Our home is located on a high hill, and is a tri-level home.

*Please note- we are IN the trees! . The driveway is steep, and a higher clearance vehicle is recommended (although not required- we own a Jetta and it makes it up fine). There is also parking on street, if you do not want to use the driveway, with stairs leading up to the home.

*AWD/4WD, or vehicles with chains, are highly recommended during the winter months, particularly when it snows.

Cozy Stay
We had a great two night stay. The home was exactly as described and easy to access. My children enjoyed exploring the trees outside. The rooms were clean and cozy and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The views of trees out of the windows is fantastic. It had everything we needed.

Excellent Getaway
The cabin is nearly nestled in the pines and offered a great central location for Bellingham and Mt. Baker. We had an excellent stay.

Lovely Cabin
This was such a lovely home to stay in during our trip to Bellingham. Even though the home is on a residential street, it feels very private because of all of the surrounding trees. It's about a 20 minute drive to the center of Bellingham, so close enough that you can spend time in town every day, if you want, but also a peaceful place to get away from it all when you want. The driveway is a bit daunting, but you can avoid it completely by parking on the street & using the stairs. There was a storm & power outage while we were there, which resulted in the darkest, quietest, most peaceful night of sleep we've had in a long time. Definitely recommend!

Great Stay in the Treehouse
We were in the area for a golf tournament our granddaughter was playing in. The house is very comfortable and well fitted out. The kitchen worked great and the living room was a great place to hang out. We appreciated the lack of TV and media in the main living area, which contributed to the feell of getting away from it all!
