A 15-20 minute drive to Bethel Woods Concerts and "walk" into town. This comfortable 3 bedroom house with 2 spacious bathrooms is ideally suited for a small family or friends. Originally built in 1865 it has been renovated with all the modern amenities needed for a throughly enjoyable stay.

Centrally located in the popular Hamlet of Callicoon - walking distance to popular restaurants, a historic movie theatre, antique shops, the Delaware River, boutiques, a full service Supermarket, a distillery, enjoy tapas at the wine bar in town, bars, restaurants , the famous Sunday "Farmer's Market" as well as exciting attractions that occur on many weekends.

You can leave your car at the house and walk right into town. If you want a River Trip experience you may want to call Landers River trips to set up and take a rafting or tubing experience down the river. The house is walking distance to the Landers River Trip access point in Callicoon.

You can enjoy the large backyard with chairs, a picnic table, a hammock, lounge chairs, a tropic theme and a campfire pit including Adirondack chairs. During the day or evening, roast marshmallows or smores at our campfire pit!

The house is centrally located to many great hiking and walking trails (look at our Guest Book for a listing of all the trails).

The house is located close to great attractions in New York and Pennsylvania such as Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (the original 1969 Woodstock site), small incredible towns as Narrowsburg, Roscoe, Liberty, Resorts World International and The Kartrite Indoor Waterpark near Monticello as well as Honesdale and Hawley, PA. It is a short drive to any of the destinations. A great place to stay during any season!

Perfect location, beautiful house - felt like home

From the very beginning we were made to feel welcome with helpful information prior to arrival, easy access to property and a lovely welcome. The house was so well decorated and felt like home, with everything we needed plus a number of thoughtful finishing touches. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely visit again.

Lovely Home in Great Location

We were in town for a family event and four of us stayed at Axel and Roy’s. We could not have found a more perfect home. The amenities were plentiful, with a welcome basket of snacks! The home was impeccably clean and well-kept, inside and out. The outdoor fire pit was a fun extra! It is walking distance to town, where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Excellent experience

Owners were very responsive and helpful. The house and town were beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked and everything was in prestine shape. Would definitely recommend this trip for anyone looking for an upstate getaway!

Welcome to our "Hacienda". Roy grew up in New York and spent his summers in the Catskill Mountains with his family gaining an incredible appreciation of the outdoors. Axel grew up in Panama with an appreciation of the environment. When we met we both fell in love with the outdoors of the Catskills. We live in Queens, NY and purchased a second home in Narrowsburg, which has become our "zen", when we are not traveling through the world. We hope you enjoy your stay in our newly renovated Callicoon Hacienda as much as we enjoy being in the area.

Why they chose this property

Roy spent his childhood in the Catskills during the summers with his family and always loved the area. Axel and Roy live in Queens, NY and started searching for a "Summer Home" back in 2006 when we bought our first property in Narrowsburg, NY. We have loved the area with great attractions, restaurants, hikes, the Delaware River and incredible nature and views. When COVID hit, we spent most of our time in Narrowsburg and came upon this adorable old home in one of the most popular and active towns of Callicoon. We have spent the past year renovating this adorable home for you to enjoy as well as enjoy the great attractions which are either walking distance or a car ride away. We have a plethora of places for you to visit and explore. Its all listed for you in our welcome book, or just ask us.

***- One small or medium dog allowed- with dog fee- (preferably light or no shedding) and you must contact us regarding your dog before booking (no other pets accepted)

-If you are interested in boarding your dog instead, there is a boarding option about 8 miles away ( 10 minute ride) at Dog House Mountain Lodge in Cochecton, NY

-3 minute drive to a 24 hr ER hospital (Garnet Health Medical Center on 97 in Callicoon)

-You can spend the weekend or the week and leave your car at the house if you just want to see the great Hamlet of Callicoon!

Outside cameras are located in both entrances for your protection and our protection.

Enjoy our renovated 1865 home with all modern amenities. Open the sliding doors in the kitchen to sit on the deck looking at the quiet solace of the back yard. You may want to sit and rest by the campfire pit as you sip on a refreshing drink, read a book as the eagles fly by. Or leave your car at the house and take a very short walk into town to one of the many restaurants, bars, live music, boutiques or unique movie theatre. Walk another minute and you are on the banks of the incredible Delaware River. On Sunday's go to the famous Farmers Market in Callicoon and this town always has events happening!!
