We have maintained this property for myself and my family for over 50 years. I have been thrilled to renovate and update the beach rental unit for my tenants. I hope you'll come and enjoy it soon.
There is lots to do here in this neighborhood and the rest of Los Angeles from the Freeways. If you have skates or skateboards bring them (world class skate park).At the house we have boogie boards, bikes, helmets, /sports balls and one beginner surf board.
REMEMBER YOUR CAMERA/PHONE THERE ARE A LOT OF INTERESTING PICTURES TO TAKE HERE, and our place is located perfectly for all that is North, South , East and West. SantaMonica on the North, Marina and the Canals. Skate park South, West the ocean, boardwalk, bike path, East is Main street, Abbot Kinney, public golf course, Freeways. Restaurants in all directions 6 within 2 blocks short bk.. Whole Foods and Ralphs close by. Perfect for a romantic get away or for a small family. Kids have a great time here, we love kids we had 3 ourselves now on their own.

Why they chose this property
The house is a pretty Calif. bungalow built in 1905's and has been remodeled to keep the charm of the turn of the century. It's like walking into the past with the convenience of the 21 century.The location is ideal; walking distance to all that is offered on Santa Monica's/Venice beach area N. (including the Recreation Pier + still walking distance to Venice's rec. beach S.area yet far enough away from Venice rec. park to be a quieter neighborhood. There are buses with in a block and we furnish bikes.We are situated near so many great restaurants. We furnish a lot of extras to our guests in the way of athletic equip. toys and games. I knew this would also be an ideal location for people on vacation. The weather is always good, not too hot and rarely cold (for me cold is under 72 degrees,) One guest, a professor suggested a walk in the morning and at sundown because the negative ions that come off the ocean are very healthy for us.
What makes this property unique
This turn of the century house has high10' ceilings and built in cabinets. The large moldings was just one of the reasons; I wanted to be close enough to walk home from the beach for lunch or nap time when the kids where small. The weather is the best (about 75 degrees most of the year warmer May-thru oct). However it has been up to 80's this October (New air con. global warming). There isn't the bugs problem like the tropics . Cultural and artistic development are everywhere. I love walking to the corner and having the beach there and still having access to a big city and culture (hand made goods on the boardwalk (1/2 block) with all that is offered here in LA. I really enjoy having the ocean breeze coming in and the sun shining. I love skating at sunset, and biking up and down the coast. One can have their whole experience without a car. Abbot Kinney has unique shops that are not chains stores with the some old stuff., New train by the Santa Monica pier to take you downtown; L.A. for the Cathedral, Disney Music Hall, Alvira Street, and museums.
For the athlete; 6 boogie boards, a skim, a surf brd.. bikes, (basket, volley ball, tennis, paddle tennis, soccer balls(all equip for your use here and on the beach). You can parasail over the ocean. You can even go on line and reserve surf lessons or paddle boarding.
I have put a book together to help with all the close points of interest esp: do not miss the two Getty Museums.
