The View

A truly incredible view of Wallowa Lake and the Eagle Cap Wilderness awaits at this wonderful home on the lake's north end.

Begin each day with incredible views from the breakfast nook, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, and the primary bedroom. Large picture windows off the front of the house comfortably heat the home during the day and provide you with an awe-inspiring setting.

When you enter this home, you'll be surprised by how big it is. The entry door is on the lake side, leading you into a foyer. To the left is the living room, and to the right is the breakfast nook and the kitchen area. The back side of the house has the bedrooms, bathrooms, and utility room.

The living room is massive, as are the stunning picture windows that look out onto Wallowa Lake and the beautiful Wallowa Mountains. One end of the room is for TV watching; the other side has beautiful leather furniture set up to enjoy the sweeping views in the warmth of a gas fireplace. This room has a whole wall of windows with unbeatable views, making every seat in the house just about perfect.

The breakfast nook is a great place to sip your morning coffee and watch the lake. The kitchen is galley-style but has all the modern conveniences you'll need to prepare your meals. Step past the kitchen into the larger dining room with more great views of Wallowa Lake.

Around the back side of the home, you'll find a sitting room and the entry to the garage (which you do not have access to for parking, only storage). Once you leave the sitting room, you'll enter a guest bedroom, which also has an entry into the laundry room, and a guest bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. Continue past the laundry room to the second king bedroom, another bathroom (with a shower/tub combo), and the lake view primary bedroom.

You'll spend your days taking part in countless activities out on the lake such as boating, water skiing, and paddleboarding. Or, simply enjoy the large, flat yard full of deer that choose to share it with you. The yard is also the perfect place for the little ones to play and take advantage of the teepee that is set up for the whole family's enjoyment in summer. Once the sun sets, gather the family around for a movie or game night in the dining room.

Great place to stay for our family!
I’ll keep this short and point out the things that made this such a memorable place to stay for me and my family. We appreciated the cleanliness of every room upon entrance. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Bedrooms enough so that my three kids could each have their own space. What I appreciate most, though, was the location. I never tired of the view of the lake, the mountains. We spent time every day outside in the yard enjoying the view. Its location provides quick access to the boat ramp (we brought our fishing boat), a quick drive to Joseph, and a short drive to the trailheads at the other end of the lake. I really appreciated the historical art displayed in the home as well. Chief Joseph, Chief Seattle, photos of the area from over 100 years ago are displayed and gave one the sense of how much the people who inhabited that beautiful area loved their home. It deepened my appreciation of the Wallowa valley and its history. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing place and location!
It was one of the most relaxing vacations. The beds were slightly firm but comfortable. The house was roomy and well equipped. The view was awe inspiring. The locals were friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
