About this property

Our retreat offers plenty of room to relax (1000 square feet) with garden views from your own private decks. Plenty of parking near your private entrance way. Equipped with high speed Wi-fi, TV, mini refrigerator, coffee machine and a microwave. The space ideally is for someone that seeks a safe clean apartment that is respectful about their surroundings. The "Retreat" is centrally located and tucked between two charming Marin county towns. We only allow our guests to stay 7-10 days maximum.

Truly a Hillside Retreat!

I stayed in the Hillside Retreat in mid December and I had a cozy and easy stay. The place is thoughtfully decorated and very clean. There is a significant hill to drive up to get to it so walking to Fairfax isn't an option. However, it's super easy to get anywhere especially west Marin. There is no kitchen so either eating out or bringing simple takeout is necessary. There is a microwave and fridge so that was great. The owners are kind, responsive and gracious. Every time I had a question, Barbara was there and willing to help with what she could. I had a great visit and I would stay here again. Thanks!!

Worked out perfectly!

The property was clean, spacious, and well appointed! The hosts, Barbara and Frederic, were warm and welcoming. And the back decks were the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the view! Overall great stay!

Nice change of pace, lots of exercise pushing my cycle up the hill

I liked that the Good Earth natural foods store was not far away. My phone did not work however, it was easy to use Skype instead because the Internet worked well.

Tranquil Retreat

Just the right spot for a tranquil retreat. Very accommodating hosts and the space is decorated in warm and inviting style. Thanks Barbara and Frederic for a lovely stay!

Both Barbara and I are both retired and we plan to enjoy life by doing some traveling. While we are home we both look forward in sharing a meal with friends and family who live nearby. We do have (2) old dogs that are very friendly and quiet. You will not have to interact with our animals as they are in a private space away from your VRBO.

If you're retired (or not) and visiting grandchildren, friends or family members our retreat is the perfect clean spot to relax hassle free, quiet and safe neighbor. You get about 1000 square feet to stretch out with no worries about parking or your safety.

What makes this property unique

The whole bottom floor of a residential property is your private space (1000 square feet). Brand new carpet and painted throughout. Our home is located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood along side Sleepy Hollow in the center of the mountain bike mecca of Marin County. Downtown Fairfax and downtown San Anselmo are just a couple of miles away
