A Getaway for My Sister's Birthday
The location was great. I know I read in the reviews previously that the noise was an issue. We really didn't have an issue knowing we were right in town. Walking to restaurants and stores very easy. Overall, we all had a great time

Family visit
Great location! Walking distance to everything. Additional seating in the living room is needed. Currently there is a small couch, bench and older chairs. We pulled in chairs from dinning room. Limited kitchen items/ pans, so check before cooking. Would stay here again, for the location!!

Good Stay
First things first. The location makes this place rate higher than it would if it were further away from downtown. With the great location it’s easy to look beyond the very minimal upgrade(s)/upkeep of the home. By no means is it bad or gross. Just don’t expect a historic home that’s been expertly curated and restored. I will warn, if you want to be in a quiet place, this is not it. It’s located directly on San Marco and traffic is very much audible at all hours. Mostly positives to say otherwise. It’s clean and convenient and the nightly rate is close enough to where it should be for what you get out of it.

Location is great but yikes
Firstly the house is from the 1860’s so I expected an older home with quirks. This place had so many that would easily be resolved with a little tlc. Floorboards patched with lumpy dirt wood filler, some screwed down planks, some bounce, some tip, some splintered boards with a rug placed over it. The widows and outdoor areas are filthy. There is no clean outdoor place to sit, the steps, the porch, balcony all coated in dirt/mildew. You have to learn how to shut the door without the doorknob coming off in your hand. The neighbor behind is fixing up his house and pounding and sawing most days, the roofers started on the tatoo/bar that boarders one side and often has live loud music, and to top it off road work is about to start on the other side. This house is on the main street heading into the historic area and is high traffic with tour guides narrating every 20 minutes or so. Most people ignore the no parking signs so we had to pull the trash cans into our spot to discourage people parking there. On the plus side the bathrooms have newer showers, kitchen has new oven, however the pans supplied are trash, they have peeling nonstick coating and rust that no one should eat ever. There was 1 kitchen towel and zero hotpads, making oven use tricky. The entire place has a thriftshop decor. One uncomfortable and dirty couch that doesn’t face the huge tv is not enough seating so its no place to relax. The location as far a proximity to town is excellent and about the only good thing this house has going for it. Also no dishwasher yet a hearty supply of dishwasher pods?!

Comfortable historical home
The house is very inviting and comfortable. Our dogs enjoyed the stay also. The home is well air-conditioned from the Florida heat. The beds are comfortable. Many activities are in walking distance, including the trolley. There is a great pizzeria close by. There is a cupcake bakery in walking distance with the best cupcakes ever. We will definitely return.

Historical home GREAT location
This is a 100+ year old home, that brings a certain ambience to your stay. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well stocked and very clean. My only frustration was the limited seating in the living room for movie night on the bad weather nights. Otherwise we will stay here again. Its a great location and you are in the heart of the historic district. Don't forget to stop in the coffee shop and wine shop that flank both sides of the house, great way to start and end your day

Less than expected
Upon arrival the home did not appear as the photos looked. (They must have did a lot of editing). The kitchen counter near the stove was not even secured and lacked the basics such as scissors. The couch was a tiny love seat which appeared dirty. This house is supposed to accommodate up to six however there was not room in the living for people to sit comfortably. (It rained and we had to stay in). The downstairs bathroom look like it was not taking care of. (Shower pan appeared to have splattered paint or was dirty). The stairs were cracked on the edges and appeared to be glued. The upstairs room were surprisingly ok however when walking the upstairs hallway you could feel a large crack in the floor hidden by a runner. Overall not worth the money. We have stayed in other historical homes in this area for the same price range and they were much better. Clearly this company is only in it for the money.

Beautiful place, lack of basic amenities.
A group of 6 adults traveled to Saint Augustine during the Christmas season. While this property is beautiful and plenty of room for 6 adults, it lacked basic amenities such as indoor plumbing. The toilets did not work upon arrival and when I called Vacasa they told me they were aware of this prior to check in. I was a bit shocked as to why they did not warn the guests there was an issue. The trip was down hill from there, plumbing did not consistently work throughout our 3 night stay. Two plumbers had to come during the stay and could not rectify the situation. We called Vacasa staff multiple times and were not given the proper service. Very unhappy with this company and do not recommend.

Best Place
So this Location is probably the best location ever! Coffee Shop on the right /Doughnuts on the left and a Bar In between. Check out the Christmas Store next door or walk right over to the Trolley no need to drive anywhere at all. The house is truly awesome and I will stay again soon.
