Great Location, Nice Size, OLD Decor-Need Update, NO LAUNDRY IN APT
5 of us stayed in this unit for 2 weeks. This unit is big, and the location right near the south bridge is great. Turning south certain times of the day/year could be a challenge. Capt. Curt's and the Daiquiri Deck are a short walk. However, this unit is very much in need of an update. Some of the furniture is from the 70s? and is falling apart or has an odor(plan to hang your clothes if you are in the master). It has a smart TV in the living room, but it is so small, you can barely see it from across the room. If movies are part of your vacation plan, bring a projector or find a different unit. The listing says there is laundry, which isn't exactly a lie, but not quite true either. There is a laundry room with a yucky old top loading machine (1.50 / load) down the hall. There is a dryer in the 3rd bedroom, which is weird, but saves you from having to run back to the laundry room. Also the balcony furniture was really cheap/uncomfortable. Bring camping chairs, they would be a vast improvement. Now for our problem...On the first Thursday night, the neighbor's water heater failed and flooded the hall and the 1/2 bath/foyer of this unit. The cleanup people came with jet engine fans and a dehumidifier to dry it out. They left at midnight. It was deafening in most of the apartment. This was a working vacation so we spent most of Friday in the dining room since it has doors that close. Someone came and checked the equipment on Friday and left. We expected someone to come back over the weeked and let us know how much longer we had to endure the jet engine noise but no one came, no one called. Sometime on Sunday, we turned off the fans because we just couldn't stand it any longer. Someone came back on Monday and it still wasn't dry, so we had to endure the noise for another 24 hours. There were also fans in the hallway that added to the noise because the door in the kitchen isn't very heavy. For all of this inconvenience, I got scolded by some lady, who insinuated if we had left the fans plugged in we wouldn't have had to put up with the extra 24 hours of noise. Probably true, but I also might have gone crazy from the noise if I didn't get a break. They did bring us a $50 gift card for Capt Curts, which in my opinion covered the staying up with the guy the first night(we each got a drink). Seems to me there should have been some other compensation offered.

Our stay was very pleasant. The condo is big and lots of storage. Rachele was always very helpful if we had any problem and promptly fixed that item. All kinds of games to play and pool is very big.

Anchorage stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Anchorage. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool, tennis courts, beach access and fitness facility were fantastic. While the unit we rented is in desperate need of updating, the space itself was great for my family of five and the building itself with the amenities make it a great rental. I would return to rent from the Anchorage.

Great Location!
This is our 9th year coming to Siesta Key and did not disappoint - thanks to our stay at the Anchorage. The staff and residents were all very friendly and the location was convenient to the beach, the pool was nice sized and well maintained, the grill / picnic area was very peaceful with a great view and access to the inter-coastal (we rented a boat which made loading / unloading easy) and places to eat! Our condo has lots of room and had an excellent view! Will look at coming back and staying here again!!!
